All metal body with spotlight
Due to some undesirable events happening in my neighborhood lately, I decided to add another camera to cover more angles around my home. I needed a wireless one since I did not want to run another super long cable hence why I picked a wireless model.Quality: The body of the camera is all metal with powder coated paint. It feels hefty and should be able to withstand being outdoors for a good period of time. I won't have to worry about this camera cracking due to UV and the elements; very happy with the housing. In addition, anywhere that is exposed (sd card slot for example) has a silicone membrane to keep moisture out, glad to see some thoughts were put into this camera.Picture quality: The picture quality of this is good, the quality should be good enough to recognize faces if you ever need to file a report to your local authorities. I've uploaded two pictures, one of the outside of my house at night and one from inside the bedroom during night time. Surprise! There seem to be a spotlight built in as well, it looks to be set off by motion at night.App: The app and setup was very easy to use and quick. I was able to get the camera up for testing within 10 minutes. You basically setup an account, enter your wifi credentials into the app, use the Camera to scan the barcode on your phone and give it a couple of minutes to configure and login to your network. Once that is done, the app is pretty easy to use, you basically tap on which camera you want to live and it'll show you a live view or clips of what set off the alerts.Overall: I'm very happy with this purchase. The construction of the camera, the quality of the picture and wifi for less than $50 I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Great camera and an even better price!!
After several home invasions in surrounding towns and two armed robberies at the local convenient stores I decided it was time to invest in a security camera! My husband installed this in just a couple of hours. It is a REALLY nice camera!! I love that it comes with WiFi, night vision, and even motion activated!! For the price I paid I was not expecting it to do as much as it does, but it does as much as the high price cameras do. I know this can’t stop everything, but I feel more secure than I did. Highly recommended.

Not Reliable!!
I bought two of these cameras. One works great when it can keep a connection. And that one gives us movement within the back recording feed. Not just light blue threads. The front camera does not do that. So it is hard to see where there is actual activity. Sometimes the alerts work. Sometimes they don’t. The night vision does not turn on in the front camera ever (it was turned to on and now I have it on automatic- still no). The night vision in the other camera works great.I set up the app on my partners phone the other day and now the one of the camera’s video is being played upside down on both apps. So annoying and weird. Why would having a second admin change the way the video plays?! The camera is still upright-no changes to its position. And the most annoying part is I have to reboot one of the cameras all the time because it loses its connection. That one is closest to the modem, too! Also, I don’t think there a way we can review the footage on a PC without having to send video clips to your Email. My suggestion, pay a little extra for Nest for actual phone customer care and good quality and sound. However, those can lose connection sometimes, too- but you won’t have to actually reboot it and get a ladder out to put the QR code in front of the lens. These cameras suck.

Good camera...the app/software could be better
Second updated review:So I emailed them a second time because I found no way to download the video. In less than a week, they wrote back. All I had to do was click on record during playback. I am keeping the rating at 4 stars because the app does not work as well as other apps ( I have 2 other cameras from different makers). When I tap on "playback" icon, it should bring up a timeline in blue to indicate recorded portions in the timeline, but it comes up blank and gives me an error that there is no recording. After I keep trying a few times, the blue portions show up in the timeline. On the real positive side, I have to say that the picture quality is excellent. I have another camera (PTZ) in the similar price range and compared to that one, this Heimvision produces better image, less fish eye effect, and smooth video (meaning the other camera has a stuttering movement of people). This Heimvision, however, has a narrower field of view. That other camera's app always works.Overall, very good camera with very responsive company. Just have to keep working on improving the app.previous updated review:I emailed them and in a matter of a week or so, they had released a new firmware. I upgraded to the new firmware, and voila! problem was solved. Now, when I use the playback to view past recording I get the recording from the selected time and not an hour before. Great! Now, if they could only fix the problem with downloading/clipping a portion of the video. I guess I will email them and find out.The following was my initial review:For the price, the picture quality is good but zooming in is not so good. Setup was not too bad.The problem is the software/app. I don't use the cloud service. I have a 128gb sd card in the camera. The following has been my experience:1) It does not record on motion detection. I've setup the motion detection sensitivity and the detection zone. I get motion detection notice but nothing is recorded. Nada. zip. zilch. zero.2) So I set it up to record all the time. The problem is that I can't always access the footage via the app. Half the time I am stuck waiting for the app to connect...and it just doesn't.3) When it does connect, it shows me one hour before the time I selected. I am assuming this is an issue with the daylight savings time. The live view shows me the right time, but when I try and look at a segment already recorded, I always get the recording one hour prior to the time I selected. So I have to add an hour to the time I want to view.4) Worst of all, now when I press on the playback button, it takes me to a screen asking me to use/set up the cloud and it will not let me view the playback from the sd card.Camera is good. App is garbage. What good is a camera, if the app does not let you use the camera's features?Anyone know if the I can use a different app?
