Excellent sound and fantastic battery life
I've had these earbuds for a few weeks now and they are well 'run in' by now. There's also been plenty of time to find any faults with them. Thankfully, there has been nothing that a factory reset didn't cure and I only had to do that once. The sound quality on these earbuds is really good: they are balanced, the bass is natural and the treble is not harsh. In audiophile terms, they are neutral which is a good thing unless you are an absolute bass head. I've played a lot of different types of music through them and they've delivered with all of them. They even work really well with audio plays: voices sound very natural and that emphasises the audio neutrality of their sound. They provide an enjoyable to listen to everything that I've played through them so far.The fit for me with the attached ear tips is excellent. You put the tip into your ear and rotate the earbud towards the back of your head and they fit really well. They are surprisingly comfortable. Creative recommend that you shake your head slightly to make sure that you have a good fit and this is a good tip. If they feel loose, then refit them.I use them mainly with an AK70 music player. At first, I had some sound drop outs but performing a factory reset solved that and the issue has gone and the sound has been rock steady since. You will have to re-pair the earbuds after resetting them, but that is easy enough. One other tip is to spend literally a few minutes reading the operating instructions as it tells you how to pair them, add another device and factory reset them if you need to. I also got an email from Creative with some further instructions, which were handy and good Customer Service from Creative.I've also used them with an iPhone, but not as much. I did download the Super-Xfi app for my phone to test out. Yes, it does improve the sound and the stereo spread immensely but, unless I'm doing something wrong, Creative need to do some work on the app as gapless playback doesn't work in the app. It does with the iPhone's music player, so don't let that put you off.Noise isolation is good for my needs but they are not noise cancelling: you'd have to pay more for that feature and the battery life for noise cancelling earbuds is currently nowhere near the battery life of these little gadgets.Overall, they are an excellent pair of true wireless earbuds and I can fully recommend them to anyone. I hope that this review is of help.

Battery beasts with minor differences
DESIGN, CHARGING AND COMFORT'That looks fancy'. 'That is a cool gadget'. It's just two of the comments heard when pulling out the case of either the Creative Outlier Air or Gold. While the charging case is not the most compact, their brushed dark grey of the Outlier Air and light gold of the Outlier Gold look good. The box looks premium too, thanks to the well-known brand name on it. When you push out the side to slide out the tray with the earphones, the cool factor is complete. These are well designed. The same goes for the earpieces of the Outlier Gold and Air themselves. They carry the same color as the charging cases, with a round black button in the center - with a LED-light ring around them. Fortunately, that LED doesn't shine when you carry them in your ear and listen to them. The earpieces of the Creative Outlier Gold have a Pebble-like design on the inside. They're easy to put in most ears, but it may require some time to get used to the fit. They feel smaller in your ears than the Jabra Elite 65t and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless, and a bit bigger than the cheaper Wavefun X-Pods 3/ Ytom T1.The upside from this design, is that the earpieces already go deep in your ears, so you don't need a big rubber tip to fill out your ears completely - which can be uncomfortable. The downside is that the earpieces are quite big themselves. Your ears may have to get used to them to enjoy their seal. The Creatives don't provide the tightest fit, and it may not be recommendable to sport with these earpieces. Still, it doesn't fall out of your ear easy when just listening or commuting with them. The biggest star of the show, however, is the enormous battery life of these models.Creative claims a 10 hours battery life on the Outlier Air and a whopping 14 hours on the Creative Outlier Gold. It's important to know that these are theoretical scores, however, which can likely only be achieved when you're listening on the lowest volumes. In different real usage tests - of myself and other reviewers and users - the Outlier Air scores a whopping 8-9 hours of battery life. The Outlier Gold even beats it, with up to 12 hours of listening time on medium volume. The charging case is capable of recharging the earpieces 2,5 times fully before needing power itself, thus providing the earpieces of more than 30 hours on a single charge of the case. The battery scores of the Creative Outlier Air and Gold are top of the bill in the industry, and a fantastic achievement under the 100 dollar price point.TWS TRUE WIRELESS EARPHONES - UNDER $100Creative Outlier Air Gold review comparison versus.jpgFOUR STARS - The Creative Outlier Air and Gold are true battery champions among TWS true wireless earphone under 100 dollars. Press once to play or pause music, press twice on the right bud to skip a song, or the left bud to return a song. Changing the volume is also possible, by long-pressing the right or left bud. Because the buttons are in the center of the earpieces, you will press the Outlier Air and Gold in your ears somewhat when controlling them - not the best feeling. The Outliers activate differently than most other wireless earbuds. On the first use, you take one earpiece out, press its button for three seconds, connect it - and then connect the other earbud to your device. The brilliance about this is that you can use both earpieces also independently from each other.Connectivity, unfortunately, is a weak spot on the Creative Outlier Air and Gold. Especially when walking with the phone in your jeans pocket, the connection is tacky. The Bluetooth connection regularly drops when you're walking with them. Both the earpieces and your device and the earpieces can have disconnections between them. What's worse, is that the earpieces sometimes speed up or slow down the music for a slight second to catch up again. Surprisingly, sitting or standing still with them, or cycling with them with your smartphone in the same jeans pocket, doesn't offer those issues.Furthermore, on both models, the earpieces disconnected to my Android Bluetooth 5.0 smartphone sometimes, before re-establishing a connection out of themselves again afterward. On the iPhone, both the right earpiece of the Outlier Air and Outlier Gold stopped working just after getting it out of the case, requiring to put it in the case again and take it out again to reconnect.CALLING AND WATCHING MOVIESWhen you're on an Android smartphone that supports Bluetooth 5.0, synchronization between audio and video is excellent. On iPhone, the scores are less convincing, with a delay while playing games and a very noticeable lag in the YouTube-app. That remains tricky, from the cheapest to the most expensive true wireless earphones. The call quality on both the Creative Outlier Gold and Air is impressive. While the other end of the line may hear you're calling through an earpiece-microphone, your voice comes through with great clarity - inside and outside. On moments when you're talking, background noises are kept to a minimum as well.SOUND QUALITY OF CREATIVE OUTLIER AIR AND GOLD: MINOR DIFFERENCESCreative Outlier Gold Air sound quality compared.jpgThe Creative Outlier Air and Gold have no-nonsense sound signatures with a lovely bass, smooth mids and highs, and a sweet, airy feeling. The bass on the Outlier isn't the most textured, but it strikes fast and delivers a nice thump. It's easy to dance to these earpieces - but they won't force you. If a song is intended more laidback, it will sound laidback on the Outliers. The sub-bass, besides, delivers a powerful rumble when called for, such as in James Blake's Limit to Your Love.In the mids and highs, the Outlier Air and Gold sounds smooth. Upper mids and highs are pushed forward, yet they never touch the limits. They never sound harsh, and they have no sibilance (emphasis on sss's). You won't turn down the volume anytime soon, because cymbals or female vocals suddenly sound too hard. The Outliers have decent tonality for the price too. They don't color music overly warm. The best part of the Creatives is their soundstage. The sound is all around you, with vocals in front of you and instruments coming in from left and right. It doesn't have the biggest depth, and it can be hard to place each instrument - still, it fares way better than samely priced competitors shown below. The main thing about the Outliers, is that they sound just right. The sound is cohesive - it just works. Both have a funny addition too: you can use them with the SXFI-app from Creative, available on iOS and Android. When you import your own music in that app, a SXFI-toggle gives the track a live concert-feeling by placing the music all round you. On paper, that is. It makes music sounds more artificial mostly, with some huge tonal differences in mid-centric instruments. It's a neat gimmick - nothing more. Are there any differences when you put the Outlier Air vs the Outlier Gold? Yes, tiny ones. On both the iPhone X and Xiaomi Mi A1 as the source, the Outlier Gold sounds a tad darker than the Outlier Air, with a little more emphasis on the low-end frequencies, such as darker sounding instruments. The bass of the Outlier Gold has a slightly bigger punch - although this shouldn't be mistaken for a heavy pounding one. It is, however, a bit tighter, a bit more striking than the one on the Outlier Air. As its counter-offensive, upper mids get a bit more room to breathe on the Air. Drum kicks and female vocals shine a bit more. The differences aren't big by any means though - both the Creative Outlier Air and Creative Outlier Gold are good, balanced allrounders. They provide the same smooth sound signature on lower and high volumes that work for all genres.

Good quality at even better price.
This was my first Creative purchase since owning an MP3 player that I had and loved many years ago. I bought creative as a cheaper alternative to Bose and Sony true wireless earphones. The quality of the sound and the battery life at the price is well above standard for the price point. What pleased me most is the call quality. There seems to be little difference between phone mic and earphone mic in terms of quality both indoors and outdoors in windy weather. No major interruptions from a connectivity aspect. I do expect a few as with any true wireless set but they have been few and far between to date. As I intended on using these for exercise I was not interested in Active Noise Cancellation from a safety point of view. I did get lucky that the fit is good enough to block out a sufficient portion of outside noise regardless. I have the Bose quiet comfort 20 and Sony WH-1000-XM2. While I didn't expect the sound to match those levels, it isn't far off which is super considering the price. I'll find it hard to put down the Outlier Gold when deciding what to use.

questionable build quality
After much research on these wireless buds, i narrowed it down to these lovely looking beasts and the Cambridge audio melomania 1s. i opted for the outler golds as reviews mentioned the pronounced bass, which I like.on receiving them, i played about with the tips and found all of them to be absolutely useless. Fortunately I had plenty of spares and wacked a medium spare set on there and got a nice seal. sound was great, very vibrant and plenty of bass for the face.I'd been using them lightly for 2 weeks before sound stopped coming from the left bud. absolutely gutted, as I was really starting to enjoy the luxury of no wires and the battery life was incredible. I've ended up returning them for a refund and I'm opting for the recently released audio technica ath cks5tw, on pay day. similar battery life and sound from what I can gather. I already own some ath m50x already, so I know build quality will be strong.i really don't want to pee on anyones bonfire, but unfortunately these fell very short of my expectations. 2 weeks of use before breaking doesn't fill me with the confidence required to pay 95 quid for these, when there is plenty of other choice. also the build quality issues aren't isolated, I chose to ignore them and found to my detriment that they were right, unfortunately. i dare say the airs would be a better choice as they are even cheaper and the super xfi is nothing more than a gimmick.can't really recommend them on that basis.

Was okay until it wasn't!
At first, the sound was good - it had a fair amount of depth. Not a bad range at all.The battery life seem good too and the case was well designed. However, I couldn't get the fit right, ever. I could hear my footsteps effecting the sound and the buds would come loose quite often when just walking, let alone running. It suffered from frequent loss of signal, which given the buds were less than a meter from the phone is pretty dire.I could have overlooked those issues and did, for a month, at which point the right bud volume dropped massively. If the right bud is in, the volume is comparable (when up full) to the left bud being held around 20cm away from my ear.I have factory rest the unit (put them in the charger container and held both buttons down until they flash blue) many times and it hasn't fixed it. I also missed the return date and would've had to look at RMAing the poxy thing. Can't be bothered because RMA is a total faff and the last time I RMA'd something, I had to pay delivery out, only to be told it would cost almost the same amount as the product cost new and then have to pay delivery back.Last Creative product I ever buy. Which is a shame, given I have had many products from them over the years and they have been consistently okay - if not always great.

The case will break
The connection of the case is quite flimsy and will break eventually, mine did last year. Seems to be charging fine but doesn't charge the earbuds anymore when closed, which is quite a shame, because the earbuds are quite nice and good quality.

Amazing quality and battery
Amazing sound quality. Deep bass (equivalent to skull candy levels of bass, I'm a basshead tbh), clear treble, distinct mids. These have gotten good critic reviews for a reason. But by far the best thing is the amazing battery life. I haven't had to charge mine on long days when I'm out for 12 hours, probably using these for around 5-6 hours and standby for the remaining, can always count on them to last.Noise isolation is good, people around me can't hear my music even when on loud in my head.Noise cancelling just by way of in ear fit is pretty good too, once you have music playing you can't hear much of the outside world at all.Bluetooth connectivity is generally very good, only drops out in Liverpool Street station for me but that's to be expected as there's too many signals in one place. Reconnects automatically. Can disconnect and connect quickly also.Do wish they weren't gold though, and the button pushing is a bit uncomfortable but these are really small trade offs in my opinion in a world where there are way too many wireless earphone options. So yes overall amazing sound quality and amazing battery life.

Excellent earbuds overall but with some flaws
I have been using these earbuds for 2 weeks now. I will say that these are good but there are a few flaws with them.Firstly, the build quality of the case itself is good with an aluminium build however it also feels kinda cheap when sliding to open the case as the sliding mechanism wobbles slightly. The earbuds themselves have good build quality overall and are very light-weight. The earbuds are magnetically attached strongly to the case so there are no worries of them falling out. The earbuds also have blue lights slowly flashing when no media/audio is playing and is connected to your phone/device. When any media/audio is playing, the lights will stop flashing. The earbuds also have a tactile touch button on both earbuds so you have to press them into your ears to control your media/audio playback. This causes pain to your inner ears if you press them hard so I had to use two fingers to pinch them in order to avoid that. I would have prefer the controls to be touch responsive instead because of this. The good thing about these button controls is that it has most of the functionality that you typically need for true wireless earbuds :One press (L&R) = Play/PauseDouble press (R) = Fast forward media/audio playbackDouble press (L) = Rewind media/audio playbackPress & hold (R) = Volume upPress & hold (L) = Volume downDouble press (Main earbud) while media/audio playback is paused/not playing = Siri/Google AssistantHold for 1 second (L&R) = Turn on earbudsFor the comfort and fit, the eartips that came with these are 2 smalls and 2 medium-sized ones. In my opinion, both tips are almost the same size so there is really only one size of eartips. This makes it hard to find a good seal with your ears if you have large ears. The earbud nozzle is also very short and so this makes the drivers in the earbuds to be as close as possible to your ear canals. For me, I have smaller ears so the eartips have a good seal for me but my right ear sometimes can't get a good seal. I had to fiddle with both earbuds quite a bit to get a good fit. However my right ear canal is abnormally shaped and I have tried a few earbuds before and had this problem before so that could just be my problem. For me comfort wise, these are comfortable to wear for long periods of time when you get a good seal and fit of them. These earbuds are also rated IPX5 so it is water and sweat resistant. I have used them for light jogging and they are still working fine and they also stay in my ears. For the connection quality, these earbuds have Bluetooth 5.0 and support APTX for Android devices and AAC for IOS devices. I have an android device (Huawei Mate 10 Pro) and I had some connectivity issues when paired with them. When commuting with the earbuds, I had some minor stutters and a few dropouts while listening to music with my phone being in my front pocket. I'm not sure if this problem is my phone itself or the earbuds but I also had the same problem with other true wireless earbuds such as the Mifo O5 so I will give it the benefit of the doubt and say the problem is with my phone. I also noticed some latency when watching videos on Youtube and Netflix but I also think this is the fault of my phone. The call quality microphone of the earbuds is very good and one of the best that I have tried on a true wireless earbud. The battery life of these earbuds are stellar and also one of the best I have tried so far. I get about 11 hours on one single charge at about 80-90% volume. With the case in total, I get about 34 hours and while the total battery life with case is not the best compared to another true wireless earbuds that I have tried before which is the Mifo O5, the long single charge battery life makes up for it. They also charge via USB-C which is good for future proofing. One feature that is not essential but useful to have is to wirelessly charge the case to make it even better. The volume of these earbuds get loud enough for me and at 90% volume is already very loud for me so the volume is very good for these earbuds. There is also an app for these earbuds called 'Super X-Fi' and this is supposed to enhance your sound quality of the earbuds by using your phone's camera to map out the shape of your ears. Personally for me, I feel like this is kind of a gimmick as I tried it once and feel like it made the sound worse so I would advise to ignore the app. Also, the functionality of 'enhancing' your sound quality does not work with streaming services such as YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, etc. Creative's other products support the streaming services so don't buy this earbuds if you want that functionality. With these earbuds, this functionality will only work with locally stored music in your phone/device.Now for the sound quality of these earbuds, this is where these earbuds makes up for all the flaws regarding them before at least for me. This review would have been 3 stars or even 2 stars if not for this category so it gets 4 stars for this. The sound quality is amazing and firstly I have to say it is a v-shaped sound on the EQ graph so this makes them a very fun type of earbuds to listen to any type of genre music. The bass being very punchy and impactful but not too much to make the sound muddy. The mids and vocals are very clear and distinct. The highs and treble are very bright but not ear piercing and also crystal clear especially for classical music. The soundstage is very open for a true wireless earbud and the imaging of these earbuds are also very clear and precise so you can accurately pinpoint where the sound is coming from.Overall, these earbuds are very good but they have a few flaws with them that make them not the perfect earbuds for me. The sound quality and the battery life being the main reason I will still keep them. If you have large ears, I would advise to look for other true wireless earbuds if you want to have a good seal and fit.Update (30/11/19): I had a recent software update for my phone (Huawei Mate 10 Pro) and this fixed the latency issues I was having when watching videos and movies. My phone update fixed issues regarding any Bluetooth connections it was having before. There is very minimal latency that I can see now. This confirms my speculation that it was my phone that was causing latency issues before and not the earbuds themselves.

Prima in ears
Goed product. Zaten meteen goed in mijn smalle gehoorgang.

Ottimi i materiali utilizzati.
