You can either loosen it slightly, or just keep opening it and closing it for a while. It will eventually loosen up. Mine did the same thing when I first purchased mine. This is the best EDC knife I have. **Q: Where's it made?** A: This knife (Kershaw Misdirect) is made in China and inspected for quality assurance in the USA. **Q: Can i paint the handle of this knife ?** A: It will take paint, but if you are going to paint it, prep it first.
