I love that the design resembles a geode since my hobby is seeking out unique stones to make jewelry. The coasters themselves are the perfect weight for my arthritic hands; they have some substance to them but not as heavy as some sandstone coasters that cause my hands to give out, dropping them, and end up broken. I personally think they add an additional piece of art to my decor. I've recieved compliments from everyone who's used them and even those who've just seen them. I haven't had them long enough to assess their durability or longevity but they seem to be a solid, high quality product, that should last quite a while.
