Great but sick of the constant price hike
These are the ONLY shoes I wear for 12 hr hospital shifts. I discovered them while I was a dialysis nurse working 14hr shifts and they were literally heaven sent. My feet would hurt and my legs would ache after work but that stopped completely with these. I don't use the comfort insoles because I enjoy the feel of the nubby sole. Just so disappointed that every time I need a new pair the price has increased. When I first started buying them 2012, they were $65 then they went to $84 approx 2014. Bought another pair 2016 for $84 and now a yr later they're $94! They're very comfortable but sheesh they're still RUBBER! I wish there was something else that was as comfortable because I would certainly stop buying these. Anyway, I claim them on my taxes as a work expense. At first fit they feel ever so slightly small but then they're perfect after a couple wear so I'd say they are true to size. I have a high instep and these are perfect for me. I have worn Dansko and Sanita only to suffer with painful numb feet. I am on pair #4 in about 5 years. One of the four pairs is still fine bc they're not worn as often bc of the color. My others have worn down because I kind of land slightly on the sides of my heel when I walk. I never realize they are worn down though because my feet still feel really good. Fluids can and do get through the ventilation holes just doesn't really happen that much. If you step in a puddle the bottom of your feel will be wet from the bottom vent hole. I think they're great, I'm just annoyed by the incessant price increase.

Skip it.
As an RN with wide feet, I have searched for the best shoes for long days. I hate these shoes. The size that corresponds to my feet (11) are offered as "11-12.5". That's quite a range. Still, desperate to find the right shoe, I ordered them, and they seemed fine with the provided insoles when trying at home. After a couple of hours at work, I had to remove the insoles so they wouldn't fly off my feet with every step. Despite this, they felt floppy and flimsy with the bulk of support at the heel instead of anywhere near the arch. I don't think the fact that I have wide feet figured into my dissatisfaction at all. I really wanted to like them, as I love my addidas flip flops with massaging spikes/dots and thought these would offer some welcome soft tissue stimulation as well. I am returning them, despite the fact they will probably charge me for signs of wear. If you have doubts about these, move along. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Hold up well, comfy
I bought these to replace some Medimex Plogs that were on their last leg. I would say that they run just a smidge smaller than the Medimex. I wear a size 9 and my foot is at the end of this shoe. However, I think the next size would be too big for me. You can wear these with or without the insert.I love these kind of vulcanized rubber shoes and have worn them for years. Especially since you can put them in the washer or in the top rack of the dishwasher. I looked on the Calzuro site, and they were the exact same price as Amazon, so I ordered from Amazon. Wear them on my 12hr nursing shifts with no problem.

Great for the OR/Long Clinic Days
I effin love these shoes. I'm a medical student in a busy hospital, on my feet from ~6am - 6pm, and these are the only things that prevent my legs from giving out in the middle of it all. On my first surgical rotation, I spent about a week in sneakers before I made the switch, and the difference was night and day. Not only am I actually able to stand for the duration of clinic/the operative procedures, but I also don't have to worry about getting blood/bodily fluids on these cause I can just wipe them off with a Cavi wipe. I'd say about 60% of the residents on my current service also wear this brand of OR shoe too.I wear a 9 shoe (8.5 in heels, sometimes up to a 9.5) and I got the 38/39. I actually find it to be a little bit big: a true 38 would probably fit a bit better. I prefer to wear inserts, since I find that the nubbed bottom creates too much friction through my socks. NOTA BENE: the insert that comes with the shoes is NOT supposed to last! It is a TEMPORARY insert so that you can feel what the shoe is like with and without it, so that you don't waste $10 on the inserts that you might not end up liking anyway. And though these look narrow, they are actually decently roomy in the toe box (my friend with "wide" feet tried them on and said this.)Haven't tried the style without ventilation holes so I can't say how the ventilation compares, but my feet (in combo with compression socks and inserts) don't get overly hot in these. Having had blood fall on my feet today, I can also say that the ventilation holes haven't been a problem so far - I think their small enough that capillary action prevents transmission of fluids (of a reasonable amount) through to socks underneath.

Durable and comfy
I ordered a pair of calzuros without the ventilation holes. Those ended up being too small even though I bought my correct size. After reading these great reviews I was looking forward to comfort all through my 12 hour shift. However, the fit was off and it ended up being painful to wear. I returned the first pair with absolute ease. I then ordered a size up with ventilation holes. These fit me PERFECTLY!! no more discomfort and there is room to breathe. I took out the insoles that come with the shoes (they wore out after only one 12 hour shift the last time I wore them) and replaced it with Dr. Scholls cheap insoles which feel AMAZING with these shoes. I have no fear of them sliding off my feet, the heel gives good support, and there is a good grip on the bottom so I don't have to worry about slipping and sliding. Also arrived VERY fast. It was supposed to take about to weeks to arrive and ended up arriving in only three days. Great investment!

Just a little too small
I love these shoes. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the size. They say they 35/36 which is 6.5/7 in women's. They are a true 35 and are much more like 6.5. (I wear a solid size 7) I can wear them but it's a stretch. I can't wear thick socks and the next size up would be too big. They are a little stiff at first but after 2, 12 hour shifts on my feet they have softened up nicely. So far so good. I like them.
