There is not much bad to say about a Warn winch! It fits perfectly on my winch plate and was super easy to install. Warn Takes the time to prewire the winch for the exception of the negative cable which is not an issue. It is well constructed, and the synthetic line is very nice! The remote functioned perfectly in both wired and wireless modes right out of the box. The only complaints I have about this winch, which are more nit-picky. First the positive cable that connects directly to the battery could stand to be just a little bit longer. I had to reroute a couple times to get the tension off it. Second the fairlead hardware should match the fairlead and not be galvanized. They provide you with a really nice black fairlead and galvanized hardware (nothing a little paint can't fix). I know there are more budget friendly options out on the market that are good but if you can afford the investment i would highly recommend picking this bad boy up!

This winch is very torquey (when dragging an old Jeep out of the weeds with flat tires I actually had to get in my Jeep and hold the brakes down as hard as I could to keep the winch from just dragging the Jeep it's installed on forward...) and it's got a nice slow reel-in speed which I prefer. I hate winches that are trying to compete for the Indy 500 and attempt to winch in faster than a racoon trying to break into a Cybertruck. The synthetic cable is also of good quality, and I prefer it to the steel cable mostly for safety sake, but also you can "tug" it for a really stuck vehicle with less of a worry of it snapping back and decapitating someone as if it were in the movie Highlander... All in all, a great winch for the money, and it looks clean and smooth, too. Much better than the old blocky bulky MileMarker I had on there that failed after two years...

Ease of installation, line speed good, quality product, fit my jeep. Functionality is A plus

The winch seem durable and works well. I've done a couple full pulls with it now and the motor is still cool enough to touch after each pull. The wireless feature works better than I thought, there is occasionally a little lag when you press to when it responds. The power cables are thick and plenty long enough to reach into the engine bay from the mount location. I highly recommend getting the warn relay so you can turn power off to the winch when not in use. I'm not sure how warn set up the wireless feature or how many channels they use but I imagine it's possible for someone else's remote to activate your winch.

I purchased the Warn VR EVO 10S after researching for months. I looked at the Harbor Freight, Smittybilt, and others. I went with Warn due to the reputation, warranty, and price. With the rebate, it was only $50 more than the Badlands (Harbor Freight) and had a much better warranty and reputation. I had watched multiple videos on Youtube and saw that many needed some level of modification for various reasons. It took me less than 1 hour for the install on an EAG Bumper. Super easy, direct bolt on, no bumper removal needed, and phenomenal online and on the phone customer support. I am so glad I went with Warn!

It's built like a tank. Easy to install with the relocatable brain box giving you many options for placement. An added wireless remote keeps you safely away from the load path and the synthetic line keeps your hands from getting pin-cushioned.

Probably only needed an 8k winch but this one works great and is solid. Comes with both corded and cordless remote.

I have not used it for a recovery yet, but I have tensioned the line. The rope looks to be of high quality, and the winch itself feels rock solid. It reeled in my 6k-ish pound Jeep up a slight incline without issue. The WARN VR line of winches are made in China, so time will tell if the quality is on par with some of the higher end American-made winches. For now though, I think the VR EVO line of winches offer a great bang for the buck, and the peace of mind that the WARN brand and warranty tends to bring.
