Product looks good. Throttle cable end is to long for a recon 250.

Got it for my 2004 Honda 250ES and it worked great started right up no problems

2003 Honda TRX 250Good. It started and does run well with no adjustments. Made a 125 mile trail ride out of the box day after installed on machine.BadChinese Carb. Vacuum is mounted on wrong side of body. makes getting to fuel line and vent tube extremely hard. Fuel line hook up is smaller than OEM better have some 1/4" tubing laying around and a fuel filter to make it work. Other wise you better me a magician with zip ties to make it not leak fuel.Cant use OEM throttle cable. On the one they send, the internal cable is to long. You have to wrap the cable around the throttle arm inside the housing on the handle bars. No other way to make it work.It works it runs but be ready for some fun. Also since they mount the vacuum tubing on wrong side it makes the mounting nut on left side a pain to get on and tight.

Wish I read the reviews. The carb sucks, the fuel intake is a different size compared to fuel line, the throttle cable doesn't work, the carb is taller than OEM and the carb leaks. First the bowl gasket leaked and now float is sticking and dump fuel all over the place. I just wanted to fix my bike but instead bought a headache.

The carburetor fit as expected and so far works well. The throttle cable and fuel line however was not the correct size. With a few modifications, my husband got them to work but says we will still have to purchase the correct sizes to fit our machine. So it was an ok temporary fix until we can get a new throttle cable and fuel line.3+ month update. The carburetor ended up not being the issue causing the machine to start but then *puh puh *cough cough * die within one minute. Ultimately, the fuel filter was the problem. The plastic pieces on the filter had completely disintegrate. After researching this, we determined that using e -85 gasoline and storing it with that gas for a long period of time (6 months+) was most likely what caused the filter is fall apart. We replaced the filter and cleaned out the gas tank to get rid of all the small plastic particles in the bottom of the tank. We left the new carburetor on since we had already installed it and upgraded the fuel line and throttle cable.Started it up and it ran better than ever. It has been over 3 months now and still running great! Helpful tip- check the fuel filter first. Do not automatically assume it is the carburetor, like we did.

The media could not be loaded.  I had to modify the throttle cable and get some advice from some of the guys on here today but it runs and drives like a new one.This recon had been setting in a barn for five yearsI also change out the fuel shut off and fuel line with a new one.Now that I know about the cable I’ll definitely purchase this carburetor again. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

No fuel adjustments needed in my case. However, I used the OEM throttle cable instead of the one that came with the carburetor. A little modification to make it work. The OEM cable has a curved metal sleeve before going into the carburetor. The aftermarket one has the cable in an akward angle. I highly recommend the carburetor.
