great ramp for the $$
This is light to carry and easy to fold and unfold. I have a 80 lb. Labrador and it works great. She is too old to jump into the back of the SUV, and took to the ramp easily. It did take a weekend of training for her to get used to the feel. Coming down is easy-peasy. Up is a little more difficult. It is a little slippery. With a running start, she makes it all the way up. Adding carpet interferes with the telescope folding, so still considering what to do. I'd buy this again.

A great value!
This product was lightweight. Yet heavy duty!I've replaced my back seat with a platform in my Silverado extended cab, for my service dog.Knowing especially how large breed dogs can have hip and joint problems as they age! I've decreased his chance of injury by being proactive and using this ramp system!!The only negative I've seen is it doesn't come with any mounting brackets??I bolted on a piano hing which works fine for my application!

Slick walking surface. Especially for big older dogs.
Very nice unit but the hard, smooth plastic? walking surface is very slippery. : (

Needs to be wider
I have a 45 lb senior terrier. I tried to train him how to use the ramp by placing it on the bottom step of the stairs, so the incline was very low. He put one front paw on the ramp and it felt unsteady and slippery, making him more scared to use it without alot of treats to entice him. I had to pick him up and place all paws on the ramp before he would move. I think it needs to be wider to make the pet feel more at ease unless it's a tiny pet. The width is comparable to a human walking sideways along a narrow ledge or walking on a narrow footbridge. It's lightweight and easy to fold, but the width was the dealbreaker. I think rubber pads should be placed on the ends so that it doesn't shift when the pet is climbing on.

Too slippery
I wish these would have worked, but my poor dogs are small and these are so slippery that neither could get a grip on them. They're sturdy, light weight and thick - they're sadly almost perfect except for the tred. Even my athletic dog had extreme trouble getting up and my dog with the bad knee had no hope of climbing these. ANY type of coating or texture would have helped make these a 5-star product, but as they are, they're just too slick for any small pet.

Works well for 76 lb Bull/Labrador
Works as advertised. Use it for getting my rescue Bull/Labrador with bad back leg in and out of our van and up stairs to house.Lightweight yet durable. Easy fold up.I used treats and a lead to coach her up and down ramp around 6 times to get her accustomed to the ramp. She doesn't hesitate now and waits for me to set it up.

slippery
The ramp is sturdy and telescopes easily. However, the surface is slippery and will not work for its intended purpose, which is to help a dog that has trouble jumping into the car. An already compromised dog cannot deal with a surface this slippery. It is also narrow.

Exactly what I was looking for!
This ramp works perfectly! Extended it allows my dog, who has had knee surgery, to get off the porch easier than using steps and getting her in and out of the car. I collapse it very easily and put it in the back of the car, not too heavy at all. Telescopes and folds up easy as pie.
