Makes a Lot of Ice, Fast
I've only had this ice maker running for a few days, but so far I am very impressed. This thing makes a ton of ice, and it makes it fast. Rather than letting it run continuously, I wait until the bin is full and turn it off. We use the ice until we're getting close to the bottom, then I turn it back on and let it refill. That keeps a layer of older ice from sitting at the bottom of the bin and slowly melting. The cubes come out in sheets. We adjusted the cube thickness to -3, which seems to be a good balance. The cubes break apart easily without being so thin that they melt too quickly. This isn't my first EUHOMY ice maker. Our previous 100-pound unit lasted about four years despite operating in a high-lime environment. I specifically wanted another EUHOMY because the machines are easy to operate and have worked well for us. I also have one of their countertop ice makers, and it has been equally reliable. Based on my experience with several of their machines, EUHOMY products have been reliable, easy to use, and work very well for our needs.

Pumps out the Ice!!!
I'd give this 4.5 stars if Amazon allowed it, so I went with 5 stars with a bit of an asterisk. First, this thing cranks out ice. I was honestly amazed—it easily produces what feels like 15+ pounds of ice per hour. The price is also extremely fair for what it does. We went from constantly buying bags of ice to having more ice than we know what to do with. I originally looked at ice makers that cost three times as much, but at $629, I figured it was worth taking a chance. So far, I'm very happy with the purchase. That said, there are a few things buyers should know. First, this machine is designed to make ice, not store it (the manual does mention this, but I didn't fully appreciate what that meant before buying). The ice can sit in the bin for a while (maybe even overnight), but it will eventually get wet and begin to melt. I now transfer it to coolers or freezer bags and store it in the freezer. I also had my plumber install an automatic condensate pump so any water collecting in the bin is drained away. That's an extra expense, but it's worked well for me. Second, this machine is loud. It also generates a surprising amount of heat. It raised the temperature in our utility room by what feels like 10 degrees, so keep that in mind if you're placing it in a small enclosed space. Finally, I had to do a little tweaking to get the ice just right. Right out of the box, the cubes were fairly hollow and melted quickly in drinks. At first I thought, "Uh-oh, this isn't good." Fortunately, you can adjust the cube thickness/density. The instructions for doing that are a bit confusing, but once I figured it out, the ice quality improved significantly. Bottom line: I'm very happy with this purchase. It makes an incredible amount of ice for the price, but there are a few quirks and a bit of a learning curve. If you understand those going in, I think you'll be very pleased.

Really puts out the ice
If you need a-lot of ice fast this really works well. Bought for an outdoor cabana bar at our home after fridge ice maker broke which wasn’t enough for high demand use days. Unit is quiet and as I said efficient. I paired it with a yeti cooler to store the first batch of ice once it filled up for a reunion party and that worked great as ice will actually keep in the unit itself even on 80 plus degree days for several hours. Set up was easy. As I’m on a well I did put both an inline sediment and taste filter on the water supply side for good measure which seems to work well. I keep my ice setting at zero which also seems to work well in most ambient air temp ranges to make nice cubes. I clean by putting a little white vinegar in the water tray and running the cleaning cycle after every use and then keep the door open until it drys out thoroughly. Nice unit!

Okayish value for the money
Ok, I've had my machine for well over a year now so I'll give the bad news first. The advertised capacities are optimistic at best. If the unit is tuned on and let run until it shuts itself off because it's full, it most certainly does not hold 33 lbs in the storage bin. I can easily put every cube in the bin into a 20 lb ice bag. It also will not make 100 lbs in 24hrs. My machine is installed in a large laundry room/ pantry that only ever gets 72 degrees farenheit at most and the incoming water supply is never more than the temperature of the room (the biggest excuses for lack of ice machine production are high ambient temperature and high supply water temp). I put my ice in 10lb bags and store them in a chest freezer so there's plenty on hand to ice down the boat or a case of beer in a cooler without having to run the machine 24/7, I have never been able to put away more than 4 ten pound bags in 12 hours of machine run time. So with all of that being said it's an 80lb machine with a 20lb bin. Instead of having a normal reliable 1/4" threaded water hookup like your fridge has, it uses a goofy push lock tubing setup that seperates the pressurized potable water supply from the expensive interior of your home with nothing more than a tiny rubber o ring. I just know that one day im going to come home and open the door to see my dog floating across the living room on the couch, but for now its working. Now, the biggest pain is that the machine will shut down in the middle of making ice but the display shows that the machine is still running with no fault codes from time to time. Over all its not hard to fix, just unplug the machine, plug it back in and it's back to business. Maybe I should have called the manufacturer and had the control board replaced under warranty while it was still within the warranty period? Maybe I'm just a procrastinator so it never happened? Yeah probably to both.... but enough of the bad, here's the positive. This machine is actually pretty efficient to run. It consumes about 200 watts of electricity on average. It's really not horribly loud. You can't find a new domestically made 80lb in 24hours machine for anywhere near what this machine costs. It's the perfect machine to turn on, let it run over night to ice down a smaller ice chest the next morning for work or provide extra ice for a large family event. Does it have it's short comings? Absolutely. Do I have buyers remorse? Nah. Try one out for yourself, they are moderately ok for the price, or don't, I'm not going to tell you how to live your life...

Great entry level machine for small business, love it!
I purchased this ice machine for our small coffee shop, it's perfect for us! We needed something compact and affordable and this fit nicely under the counter where we had removed a cabinet. We've only been using it for a month and are currently in our slow season so once spring break rolls around and the demand for ice increases I will try to come back and give an update. A couple of things that I would like to address that I found in previous reviews; Someone said that the cube SIZE is NOT adjustable. This is NOT true, it IS adjustable! However, It does not adjust the overall dimensions of the cube but allows you to adjust the thickness of the cube wall. I first set it to its largest size which gives you a very thick rectangular sheet of ice that can be broken apart with some effort (not with the plastic scoop that comes with the machine). This size did not work for us because we are using the ice to make ice coffees and smoothies so we needed the cubes to be looser so that we could better manage the portion of ice we are putting in the cups. After a little trial and error we found that setting the cube size to -4 is perfect for us and allows the ice to be broken apart with ease and also gives a quicker recovery time since there is less water being used per cube. If you are bagging ice to sell or if you are just filling up coolers I would suggest using a thicker cube setting. Either way I found that the machine responds quickly to adjustments so it only takes one cycle for you to see the results of your adjustment. Even though the machine drops one rack of cubes every 10 minutes our less it remains to be seen wether or not it will keep up with our summer demand. I am optimistic and hopeful! Things I would like to see the manufacturer consider changing. 1) Adding Adjustable (and taller) feet to the machine. This will allow customers to easily level the machine in cases where the floor is unlevel. 2) Make the overall height of the cabinet taller so there is zero clearance between the top of the ice maker and the bottom of the counter top. It will give a more custom and finished look after installation. I used 3/4" PVC couplers that fit perfectly over the the factory feet to raise the unit about an inch and it still was no where close to the bottom of the counter top. To get a nice finished look I had to cut down a piece of 1x4 to about 2.25 inches and stain it to match the cabinets. It turned out nice! The other problem with the very short legs on the unit is that the drain line is so close to the ground that if you encounter the slightest incline while running the drain line the machine will not drain properly. PLEASE put taller LEGS on the ice maker! 3) Plastic ice scoop? I get it that something is better than nothing but if folks try to scoop out or break up the ice (especially when set to its thickest setting) the scoop will easily break. As I said, we have only been using our machine for about a month and we love it! I will do my best to get back to this review to give an update on how it is keeping up and also add some pictures! Feel free to ask questions on my review and I'll try to answer the best I can. Cheers!

Works great!
Absolutely love this ice maker. I bought a filter since it does not come with one and my house is old with old pipes. I can fill my cooler with ice to go fishing in the morning and have a bin full of ice when I get home. The ice lasts longer in drinks than the ice from my kitchen refrigerator. Easy to set up and overall a great purchase!

Nice productive little machine
Hooked the ice machine up and have had it running for a day. None of the reviews mentioned the inside ice hopper dimensions, which I was curious about: Front to back: 12” Width: 15” Bottom to front lip: 10 ½” Bottom to ice maker trip switch: 12” Yes, it looks small and measures smaller than I would have liked. Ran it overnight on +6 (highest setting for full cubes) and it held two full bags plus another 1/3 bag. I purchased the “Pinnacle Mercantile Plastic Ice Bags 10 Lb. with Draw String Closure Pack 100”. The bags are thinner than I would like, but held up to dropping a frozen bag of cubes a few times. I think they will be reusable one more time before they start to get holes. Perhaps if one was careful and gentle, they could be reused more. I am not careful or gentle so am looking for a sturdier bag. As it filled, the ‘blocks’ did not break up, so I had a lot of full blocks to break up before I could bag. I used a metal 24 Ounce aluminum scoop to bang on them. Not the easiest thing to do in such a small space. An 8 ounce ballpeen hammer did a much better job. I was worried about cracking the inside casing, but solved that below. With the cube set on “6” it made a cycle in 22 to 25 minutes. As others mentioned, it produces a surprising amount of ice. If one kept on top of it, I could see 6+ of the bags per day. My boat needs are 4 bags/day and this will more than keep up with that. The ice does melt in the hopper. Overnight (8 hours from empty hopper) at 75 environment degrees (as reported on the machine screen) there were 7 cups of drain water. The ice was ‘wet’ when bagged, but bagged and put in the freezer like that, it easily broke up by dropping the bag on the floor, once on each side. Pretty standard even for purchased ice. Noise level: It is pretty noisy. A louder than expected hum of the compressor/fan. Annoying if you are in the same room, not too noticeable if in an adjacent room. The blocks dropping in an empty hopper is a bit noisy. The machine came with nice foam padding in the packaging. I cut a piece to fit in the bottom (cutting out for the drain) and that eliminated that. It has not been a pain to scoop off of and I figure to take it out every few days and replace with a second one I made, to let the first one air out. This does, however, prevent the first blocks from breaking up as they hit the bottom though. The ballpeen hammer works well and with the foam padding on the bottom, I believe I have helped eliminate the possibility of cracking the inside casing. Overall, I initially give this little bugger a 5 rating. Time will tell how well it holds up. Came very well packaged, no damage. Hooked up easily, came with more than enough parts needed. I bought the recommended in-line filter, so have a ton of extra waterline. Screen is pretty simple to use. They are one touch buttons, no “menu” to scroll though to find something. Only negative so far is the height of the opening. It really needs to be raised to make scooping out easier. Could use a larger holding bin also, but with about an actual 25# of ice storage, fine for my needs Yeah, they say 33# but that would be all blocks broken up and manipulating the cubes to fill the hopper. Not going to happen in real life. Front grill, top and back are metal. Thin gauge, but still metal as advertised. Sides, door and frame are plastic. Fairly heavy plastic, but I would not put this in a heavy abuse location. Plastic door does slide up and lock open, is not removable. For my use, needing 4 bags/day for boat fishing, this will fit the bill. I can accomplish this bagging twice a day. For the other retired bachelors who go fishing every day, this is how I set mine up. Spare bathtub. Put 2x6’s across the tub to set the machine on, resting on pieces of the packing foam to cushion and prevent slipping. Puts the opening at a much more comfortable level for scooping out. Feed the filter/machine from the shower head, with a shutoff to the feed and separate shutoff for the shower spray. Drain water goes into the tub. I can clean the inside using the shower spray. I capped the tub faucet because in time, I know it will leak and I don’t need it. Hanging work light as it is easier to see inside the machine. Dropped ice while bagging falls into the tub.

Review on Euhomy Commercial Ice Machine
Hello I am from the Bahamas and i am an entrepreneur, I was interested in buying an ice machine because i sell beverages on the road, and stumbled across this product, based on the reviews. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the bad reviews so I asked a friend and also my dad what were their opinions, my dad told me to give it another week (decision making process) and my friend told me to get this. So I got this the following week, as was advised from my friend, as this was and probably still is number #1 top Commercial ice machine and a fast seller. The installation wasn't all too hard, despite me having no experience in plumbing nor electrical, it took back and forth trips to the hardware store and probably about $300 in labor and supplies which comprised of the electrical and plumbing work of course. After the installation was completed I gave it an additional 12 hours prior to starting it up to ensure the PVC glue cured well, hence the machine received more than 24 hours in an upright position as stated (advised) on the front facing. I started the machine the next day and allowed it to self-clean for 20 minutes before making the first batch of ice. Everything sounded normal, however during this phase i thought the machine encountered a problem due to the length of time it took to fill up with water (flashing arrow indicating machine is filling up) to my avail that eventually disappeared and the machine cleaning phase had completed and it went into ice making mode automatically. All i did was watch as the ice was being slowly made, i stepped out of the shed to do some other work around the house and came back to see what was the state of it, it was flashing "08 min" indicating 8 minutes left before the completion of the first batch of ice. The ice fell into the bin( a bit loudly), but i didn't mind all i wanted was ice. There it was my first (premature formed) batch of ice. After witnessing it dispense the first batch, i left it alone for 2-3 hours, coming back however i was shocked to see how little ice it had made. I then began to observe it more closely to discern exactly what could be causing it to make premature ice and not fill up. I noticed after every batch of ice that was made, the dispensing tube would wet the bin up (that the ice would drop in) and sort of defeat the purpose of what the machine was intended to do(make ice). Immediately i contacted customer support, and was advised to send videos accompanied with other information. Willow responded in about under a day, after all it was over the weekend so i had assumed company hours was offline at the time, fortunately i didn't had to wait until Monday for a response and got a message from Willow @ Euhomy customer support on sunday. Willow said the tube letting out the water above the ice trays was not positioned properly and if i would not mind to rotate the tube where the holes (nine of them) would point downwards. I did that (very easy to do) and started the machine again. WaLah ! :) Happy Boy, Ice was now maturely being produced and was not melting down after every completed cycle. I will upload pictures and a video. The machine has been running almost 7 days str8 so far it has encountered one (E2) error, but i think that was because the bin being full of ice held down the white flap for a while (presumably speaking). I am pleased that with this product and would advise other people to buy it as well, customer service is quite reputable. I wanted to upload the video of what it was doing prior to the fix but i could of only uploaded 1 video. ~ Additional note: Makes a TON of ice ~ Update: Excellent Customer Support, I'd recommend this product or any Euhomy product to anyone interested in ice machines(No wonder they are #1 in commercial ice machines ^_^), just based on their customer support reliability. ~SIX STARS ~
