I had the old version of this model for 3 years and it was amazing. I lost one of the foam pads on it and the arm started to give out. After 3 years, I was fine with that. They changed the design and the new one sucks! I bought it April 22nd. The goose neck arm never bent correctly and was very loose. It didn't hold it's position in place. The previous version was very sturdy and never moved from position unless you moved it. The phone never sat correctly. The suction occasionally popped off the window on it's own. The previous version held and never moved. Today the back just broke off from of no where when I put my phone in the holder as I always do. Its absolutely useless on June 17th, so less than 2 months after I purchased it. I specifically went looking for the exact same model as my precious one because of how much I loved it. It was perfect for my needs. It is now to late for me to send this back to Amazon. This used to be a fantastic model. I was concerned when I got this new one to see the changes but assumed the company has made the changes for the better. I would have given the original model 5 stars. Now I have to look for a new one.

The adhesive platform makes no sense. Almost no dashboards are completely flat, as the platform is shaped. The cleaning wipes are a bit too strong chemically.The window suction works pretty well despite its wobbliness and the fact that its hard to adjust the flexible arm to stay straight.The mechanical phone securing squeezers and holder are ingenious. Absolutely the best part of the product. My one complaint is that the padding is incompatible with most phones that have power or volume buttons on the side. It's pretty much impossible to secure the phone flush straight in the mount.The air vent mount seems to work well as long as there are no pieces of the car vent sticking too far out.Overall not a terrible product but could be improved in a few ways.The mount release button and crank mechanism is simply perfect.

This is our second one of these. My wife gave me one for Christmas that she had purchased in a store and it's awesome. We have gps in both of our vehicles but as you know they need to be updated to stay current. This is kind of pricey so we have been using our phones which seem to always be more up to date. Really like the way this flexes so you can have it at just the right angle for viewing your screen. The usb port is a nice feature allowing you to charge the phone while using the gps on those long trips. We were transferring this from car to car whenever on a road trip. Finally decided to check Amazon and buy another one. The 12 volt outlets are in very different places in our two cars yet this thing flexes nicely to make it work in each of them. Before we had this it was a real drag trying to see the phone while driving. We are very happy with this item.

The holder itself is great for what I needed, to hold a phone with a thick case. The vent attachment was easy to install and holds securely. The reason I gave three stars is that the suction-cup arm that it comes with is solid and not flexible like most gooseneck-style mounts. It was too long and I couldn't find a good spot in the vehicle (Toyota Highlander) that it would actually fit with my phone on it. I ended up throwing out the arm since all I needed was the vent clip anyway. The company should sell a version with just the vent clip at a lower cost as an option for those that just want the vent clip.

This phone holder has totally changed my driving experience. Having my iPhone at dash level means Sri works while im am driving. Its super convenient and durable. First my son found it and when i was driving his car i fell in love with it. All prior phone holders were junk. Then i bought one for my car and found it much easier to use WAZE etc. Then one for my wife and daughter. Then for a buddy of mine. He loved it and bought them for his wife and kids. ZERO COMPLAINTS. In some cars we use the vent mount and in some the suction cup. I even bring it with me when i travel for use in rental cars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I bought this item for a 2006 Mustang that I recently bought, which has a power socket in the upper middle of the dash. (In fact, the picture on the website was of the same-generation Mustang.) It seemed to put the phone in an ideal spot.However, it did not work for me. The phone wobbled everywhere, even though the unit was plugged in securely. It turns out that the power socket was loose, and there is no way to tighten it. My theory (and it is only a guess) is that a previous owner had used the same sort of phone mount, and it wore out the socket.Even if my theory is wrong, this unit did not work for me, even though I was using it in exactly the way it was pictured on the web.

I returned this product because the base that has to adhere to the dashboard was much larger than it appeared in the pictures in the listing on Amazon and did not stay stuck to the dashboard easily, coming off a few times.Also, the part that holds the phone is awkward to use because, while it slides because of a spring built in, it is NOT usable one-handed, because a finger or two got pinched as the slider sides would pinch. Despite the claims, it is NOT a one-handed operation. I returned it.

I own two of these and I will buy more if I need too. I also bought one for my mom. The only issue I have with this is that on rare occasions; maybe due to the weather the suction cup comes off. It'll happen when I'm driving and unfortunately using GPS. I've secured it pretty well and it's super rare for that to happen, so I don't really worry about it. It fits my phone perfectly. I love that I can move the little feet around to charge my phone or plug an aux cord into it. I highly recommend this holder.

If you do a search on Amazon for non magnetic Mobile phone holders for car, you'll find the usual ones within 350-999 rupees with largely positive reviews, however when you look at their one star reviews, you'll find similar complaints wherein all of them are made of either poor quality plastics, weak rubber mount, adhesive issue, rattling, etc. None of these mounts last for more than a few weeks to months. I fail to understand why people who can afford good phones end up buying cheap mounts.The Scosche Extendo mount is a premium grade mount that lives up to its name. The print on the box, the packaging, the contents, everything is of premium quality. The plastic quality of the mount is top notch. This is not just another cheap plastic mount, this is the real deal. The adhesive is super strong. When I first mounted it as you can see in the pictures, I felt I mounted it too high for my liking and wanted to position it downwards, however upon unlocking the mount, it would not budge, such is the strength of the suction adhesive. I've used it for a 400km continuous drive and it did not rattle or shake anytime. Mounting the phone and ejecting it is also simple and straightforward. I'm happy I paid a premium price for a premium product because it's worth it! I'm sure this will last for a long long time!!! Buy it if you can afford it.

As with anything you install it must be done properly. When you put the flat plate down on the surface you need to make sure the surface is truly flat.Place the platoon the surface without taking the adhesive off of the plate. Make sure there are no gaps under the plate this can be caused by rounding surfaces so if it still gaps push the plate back as far as necessary to the windshield once it’s good remove the adhesive and put the suction cup on the plate. If you follow this method your good to go.This is far better than putting it on the glass window as the glass will sweat and the suction cup will release.Enjoy!

I purchased this device to mount my phone in the car using the vents. After the first week, the protective foam on the left side keeps coming off and I have to reattach it. The spring release to pop the phone takes awhile sometimes and is not as smooth. It holds my phone okay, but I am not sure about the quality of this product lasting a long time. Maybe, I'll look into one with the magnets that holds the phone.

Made of cheap plastic. After a month of use the button to release phone from the mount sticks but for the price I am happy with my purchase.
