This is my second purchase. It is mild enough and has good depth of chili flavor.

THIS IS SO GOOD!! Have ordered this 5 times now and I refuse to be without it! LOVE the subtle slightly sweet flavor it gives! Nice deep flavorful low-medium heat chile powder from our own New Mexico. LOVE that it's organic....LOVE that it's grown and produced in the USA! Gives delicious flavor to my marinades, homemade salsa, chicken tacos and more! It's great sprinkled straight out of the bag ( I transferred to a spice jar for convience)! I've tried a number of chili powders from our local grocery stores but was frustrated by the lack of depth of flavor and some even a little bit bitter. This one hits the spot for me! Good low-medium amount of heat without being too hot for most...I'm far from being a Scofield level 2,200,000 "Carolina Reaper" chili eater....this is medium-low spice heat so most should be good with it...but it may not be mild enough for very young sensitive palates, but of course different folks will rate the spice/heat level differently especially if they are hardcore hot hot hot chili eaters or never-pepper eaters. Los Chileros rates it as 2 out of 4 chili peppers of spicy heat...so be aware if giving it to tender young mouths. I will be back for more!9/01/2023; My one big complaint is availability. There have been multiple occasions where I go to purchase this, but it's unavailable...not good. Why does this keep happening. Sorry but I'm taking 1 point off for lack of availability.

Apparently the folks that say that this isn't that hot are used to drinking pure lava. This is much more hot than, say, a jalapeno or a chipotle pepper, which is about the limit of heat that I am able to handle. I used it to create some enchilada sauce that I made from a recipe I got from Emeril Lagasse and WOW, I'm gonna be cutting the amount I use down a bit I think.

I do a lot of cooking with mexican flavors, do decided to give this a try. I read that others thought this product had quite a kick, but even adding an extra amount I have not noticed it. However, everyones taste buds are different. I do however like the flavor and I would probably order it again!

Chili for 50 vegetarians is tough to do. Needs flavor due to lack of meat, but can't be too hot, because, out of 50 people, you know some are going to balk at spiciness. This stuff was perfect.

We live in New Mexico but are away from home a lot. I was so happy to discover that Amazon carried the very same brand of chile powder that we buy when we are home. It has a terrific taste and it goes well in practically any dish, To me it is a chile powder you can't go wrong with.

I make my own taco seasoning, this made an amazing base.
