KAL Xylitol Powder, 1 Pound

I had purchased Swerve for quite some time, when we discovered the Erithyritol in it gave my husband a pretty severe case of tinnitus. I don't care for the aftertaste of Stevia, so I thought I would try some Xylitol and hope for the best.By biggest concern (as from if it would cause other side effects) was does this powder really dissolve fast? I use sweetener a good amount int colder recipes (like desserts), and the one time I accidentally tried regular Swerve instead of the confectioner's style, it gave my dessert a gritty quality.Yes! Xylitol gave us sweetness and my husband no longer has tinnitus. This dissolves quickly and neatly into the colder recipes with no grittiness.I think Xylitol is a shade less sweet than Erythritol, but I am able to compensate for it easily enough. In any case, I have made additional purchases of this brand because I am quite satisfied with the results.

I love this product. The taste is great and it works in any recipe I've tried so far. The only problem (and it's a small one) is it's usually very fine like sugar, but twice when I purchased it, it was coarser - didn't like that as much. Only thing I wish is that it was slightly cheaper or maybe a discount when you buy in multiples. I use this product A LOT. GREAT product. Of special importance that customers who purchase this should be aware of is it's highly toxic to dogs.

I had ordered 2 of these and when I opened the package it was full of Xyltol! one package had a hole at the cap which was taped shut. Can I return it? What do I do with it?Kathy Stegman

I have used this stuff for years. Only problem I ever had was some packages being rancid that had sat on the store shelf too long, at Vitamin Shoppe. It tastes great. No after taste that I can notice. I only wish the label stated if any ingredients were GMO, or not.

This xylitol is similar to the texture of granulated sugar. It has no taste which is fantastic. I have used it in coffee, ice cream, fudge and even tomato sauce! It blends nicely into a powder. This is by far the best substitute I have found for my diet. It’s a decent deal as well

Looks and tastes really pure, dissolves immediately. I bought "Morning Pep" brand last time and regretted it. The granules were huge and were extremely stubborn about dissolving in cold liquids. Not only that, but it's derived from birch. While birch-derived xylitol might sound sexy, it's unsustainable, especially when this Earth needs every tree it can get. I would prefer it if the Kal xylitol was sourced from non-GMO corn, but after having sampled several brands I can state with confidence that this is high quality. It's as delightfully sweet as it should be and the granule size is uniform. It's very fine but not powdery. This will work excellent for my enamel-building homemade toothpaste (powdered bone meal, xylitol, unflavored fluoride, baking soda and liquid minerals. It doesn't get better).Kal has a good reputation for all sorts of products, but If you prefer xylitol derived from non-GMO corn, Zint will be your go-to. The granules are fine (like sugar) and it's reasonably priced. I will likely go back to Zint - I was hoping for an even finer grain than that brand but Kal isn't really much finer.

Very pure and fine!

Been using Kal xylitol for years as a natural sugar substitute due to my diabetes. Wonderful taste even as a stand alone sweetener. I particularly like it sprinkled on fresh strawberries.
