Think Valfaris as the result Contra and Doom lovechild. 16 bit style old school run n' gun platformer (not a metroidvania) with a wide variety of fire arms and melee weapons to upgrade and tough bosses after each level. With very tight controls, a kick ass Metal soundtrack and awesome 80's metal dark fantasy sci-fi art direction this game a must play for all, specially us old heads who grew up in the 80's.

Game is hard as metal pund intended. All these whinny so call gamers that's too hard. Wah wah!! Yeah that's the point. The art of the game is something you could get from 80s and 90s metal bands albums. The controls are smooth and that soundtrack is the icing on the cake.

If you like contra or any of the older 2D games you’ll love this one! It has extreme 80s vibes with one of the most kickin’ soundtracks you can find. It’s very metal to say the least. The game has 8 main bosses. However, there are MANY other bosses and mini bosses for you to fight. You will likely hit a wall in the game every now and again. The game can be very difficult at times. It requires you to adapt to its style in order to succeed. I wasn’t sure if I really was getting better until I finished the game and realized how far I truly had improved in the game. Every boss is unique and presents a new challenge for you to conquer.Also the variety of bosses is insane! Many of the bosses are very unique with completely different techniques to beat them. Every boss is great, but it all builds up to the fantastic final boss fight! I won’t spoil anything, but the final fight is absolutely amazing! I wasn’t sure if this game would have much replay value due to its difficulty, but again once you beat it, you improve so much it gets instant replay value. Just know your first play through could be unforgiving at times, but will definitely be a blast to behold! :D

If you love games that give you a real challenge and love that old school 16 bit look then this game is for you and also the game only cost18$ all you old school guys will have a blast playing this jte out

Takes me back to the days of classic platformers. Haven't gotten very far into the game, but has been fun so far without being too frustrating. I like the fact that there are checkpoints placed throughout especially prior to "difficult" areas. Soundtrack reminds me of Dethklok, too much rock for one fist.
