LEGO The Lone Ranger Silver Mine Shootout (79110)

This was a birthday gift for a 6-year old boy. Both he and his brother like western-themed items although this boy is a huge fan of Legos. He just loves to build and build and had no trouble mastering Legos for this age group. All Legos are great and this is no exception. I recommend it.

My seven year old son picked this set out as a reward for his helping me shovel snow. He took his time to build this set in about two hours. It is unique as it is more abstract than linear. It really looks like a mountain with a mine entrance when it was finished. It came with five mini figures that were very intricate and well designed. It had other nice features such as a moving mine cart and a pully with a basket that can hold the mini figures. The proce was dead on and I thought it was a bargain for under $50 considering what most licensed sets go for these days. The most important thing is that my so loves it and was so proud of his build that he took it in for "show and tell" and received praises from his teachers and peers on how cool his set was. I would not hesitate to receommend this set to another Lego loving family but I can't say that about the movie....

My 11 year old nephew has hooked me onto building these models! They are sooooo much fun to build. Now, I'm buying them for myself to build and then take them apart so my nephew can use it. Did a few of "The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug," and ordered the big, bodacious London Bridge last night from Amazon...woohooooo!!

While my special needs son doesn't usually get much pleasure out of playing with Lego sets, he really enjoyed assembling this set and looking at it. The instructions were clear in picture form, and he was able to do 95% or more of the assembly on his own with some help finding the right pieces for most steps. It is a nice looking display set, has Butch Cavendish and Chief Big Bear (plus 3 other figures), and appears to have some good play potential for those who enjoy playing.

Our family has been waiting a long time for this Lone Ranger set to be released. My wife and I had a good time putting it together. It has a lot of neat features from rock walls blowing up from set dynamite, to trap doors, and boulders falling from the top of the mine. Also a neat chute that your mini figure falls into a mine cart. Our kids have spent hours playing with it. Also there is a neat crane but its hard to get your mini figure to ride in the basket like it shows on the box. Overall a great product. Thanks lego.

The parents are a bit shocked at the price tag for the finished product, but the son is as pleased as always. The more complicated the set and instructions the better for this 9 year old...

I don't care what the critics say, I liked this movie and this set is a good challenge for all who liked the movie and LEGO. Easy to follow instructions and if you don't know how to follow that, then that's your own fault Kemosabe.
