I bought this with the expectation of easily pushing fasteners into the joints. But, if you are using hardwood molding, it can't be done. You need a device that drives the fasteners in under power.

Take your time to set this up properly (watch the video) then it's a great tool. I used it to secure box frames and even stacked 3 x 10mm staples on top of each other, which is one more than recommended, but worked well.

I was a bit hesitant in spending this amount of money on a framing kit, but it turned out to be a super buy. I can now make professional looking frames with relative ease. It is essential to watch the video first though, which makes it look easy, and after the first attempt, it is. The only down side is when trying to insert one wedge on top of another, it often ends up with the first wedge coming out the side of the frame. Also, with picture frame sizes less than about 8 inches, the handle of the tightening mechanism in the frame clamp doesn't fit inside the picture frame, meaning that I have to position and hold the picture frame manually without the clamp, which is possible to do with a little care.

La pose des V-nails est plus qu'aléatoire car la partie aimantée les positionne mal pas dans l'axe. Dès la première utilisation mon cadre a été sali par la plaque carrée comme si elle était rouillée. Le système de serrage des baguettes est en plastique et saute facilement donc la pression est souvent insuffisante pour bien les positionner à l'équerre.

Used in combination with a mitre trimmer, this lets you create frames to the standard of a professional framer.
