Reebok Men's Rapid Response RB 8" Soft Toe EH Work Boots

Bought these specifically for the composite toe as listed in the description. Paid $200 AUD for a workboot I can't use because it doesn't meet industry regulations.

I have had these boots for 8 years. They are not daily wear, I am a professional computer geek. I do however ride a motorcycle, at times up to 1000 miles a day. I do some hiking, I wear them on the gun range. I abuse these boots. The only thing i did to them was I painted over the toe with tan bedliner and I replaced the laces with parachute cord. I did both before I ever put them on. They are super comfortable, I have wide feet 4E, and lately I have had some swelling in my feet, the worst I had to do was loosen up and adjust the laces and it was fine. If I had any complaint it would be that I want the safety toe boots and I did not buy them instead. I will buy the safety toe when these are finally done. I may donate them to charity because I am sick of waiting.

These are great boots! They are not quite as comfortable as their Converse predecessors but close. There are some irregularities in both boots, as in "low spots," where the interior of the sole is attached to the sides of the boot. I stuffed some of my wife's makeup wedges into those spots and put the insoles back in. Works great but should not be necessary. More attention should be given to the assembly of the boots. Beyond careless construction, I love these boots and have recommended them to everyone looking for comfortable work boots.

I originally ordered a competitor's boot that supposedly came in 4E. It was less wide than the Rapid Response boot and very stiff in the area of the actual foot. I decided to try the Reebok's instead. They are much wider and softer around the foot which is important to me, because of a variety of foot problems. The Rapid Response boots have a lot of padding around the top (maybe too much) and it will take some time for me to get really comfortable with that, because they feel tight on my leg. The padding actually makes it difficult to put on or remove the boots, even with the zipper down, unless you also unlace them. It is getting slightly easier now that I've worn them for about 5 days. I will note that the stitching at the tip of the toe on one boot came out yesterday. Since the sole is glued, I'm hoping it won't cause a problem.

I will continue buying these boots. The most comfortable boots with safety toes, and last a good while considering I’m in construction. The zipper makes it so you don’t have to lace up/lace down, so they’re technically slip offs. The only thing is, they are not waterproof, so you’ll need a pair of backups for when it rains, which I’m fine with that. Still, well worth the price
