Save your fingers buy this one
I can finally get the cuts I want and keep my fingers intact! Mandolines are one of the most dangerous kitchen items you can have and I learned the hard way why they are so dangerous. I like this one because it is safe, versatile and doesn't take up a ton of space.

Don’t shave your fingers anymore
Purchased a Mandolin to cut veggies and other food items for recipes. Found out the hard way it not only cuts food really fast and easy, but will cut layers of your fingers off just as quick. Eighteen stitches later, the mandolin went into the trash and I once again went old school and cut my food items with a sharp knife and allot of caution. I saw the advertisement for this safe and easy to use slicer and knew I had to have it. I ordered it, a week later it came in the mail. I took it out of the package, gave it all a good cleaning and decided we were having Scalloped Potatoes with dinner that evening. When it was time to prep the potatoes, I set up the machine per the instructions, put a potato in the hopper and went to town on it. Let me tell you, I was so impressed I ran out of the kitchen, grabbed my wife who was about to get in the shower and made her wrap a towel around herself so I could show her how well the machine worked. She wasn’t very enthusiastic about it but she humored me anyway. I showed her how well it worked and she lit up. “oh! Let me give it a go!” She totally forgot about her shower and finished up all the potatoes while praising the new purchase. Complete and accurate slices. Never once did it miss a slice or get stuck midway through a slice. It’s made of durable strong plastic which cleans up really easy and stores nicely. And the handle locks in the down position for safety. I only wish I had found this sooner. This is a machine I highly recommend for any kitchen…

Safe and convenient but an annoyance to fully clean, non-removable blade
It works well for slicing vegetables and stays in place with the powerful suction cups on the countertop and I don't regret buying it and get great use out of it but I have to ding it for two major and glaring flaws: 1) It is a pain to clean properly. Unless you have a pressure washer it's a pain to clean, little chunks of sliced veggies get stuck in all kinds of nooks and crannies protected by the plastic housing which means most kitchen brushes cannot reach these chunks of food which if left will become breeding grounds for bacteria. Don't get me wrong, you can easily get a kitchen brush in and clean the blade itself and most of the surfaces that food contacts. I ran it through the dishwasher and the left over pieces of squash laughed at the jets and dish detergent, protected behind the plastic in nooks and crannies they couldn't be touched. It's definitely possible to clean but the brush they include is not going to last that long at the job. There are two key places, one at the bottom where two of the plastic grooved teeth surfaces nearly meet, at the bottom of the one facing the user things can get stuck there and on the top of the one facing it, additionally the top of the housing above the blade that moves can get pieces stuck there just atop the little retractable blades built into the back which normal kitchen brushes cannot reach. I'm going to try getting a paint brush but the clearance for both of these trouble spots is too little to even get a toothbrush through (you can if you angle it and push) easily and because of the channels |_|_|_| of plastic food gets caught and stuck on them and isn't washed away by my kitchen faucet even on spray mode. I may also try soaking the whole thing in a sink with a bleach and water mixture for an hour or so every so often as the bleach will probably eat away at enough of the food to dislodge it. 2) The blade cannot be removed making the whole thing pretty disposable as an item once it's not sharp enough. For the price you shouldn't be surprised. But I was a little disappointed to see the blade is completely unremovable. It's riveted in. Meaning you can't take it out to clean, you can't take it out to sharpen, you can't take it out to replace it. It's still worth the price I paid but I would have paid $5 more without a second thought if they had screws I could use to remove the blade for sharpening, cleaning, etc instead.

Excellent mandoline slicer – ignore Amazon star ratings system
I want to share two important points from real experience. First: do not trust Amazon’s star rating system or percentages. Sellers often reuse the same ratings across multiple different products. You can see in the reviews that people are clearly talking about different items. I documented this and sent proof to Amazon over a year ago and nothing was done. Be smart: read carefully, and if a product doesn’t perform in 1–3 days, return it. Free returns exist for a reason. Second: this mandoline is excellent. After reviewing about 30 different mandolines on Amazon and having technical knowledge of manufacturing quality, this one stood out immediately. The construction looks and feels German-grade. Very solid and precise. I originally bought it for a food business where cooks were using cheap wooden mandolines ($6–7). They wore out monthly and caused frequent finger injuries. I introduced this safer system. After one hour of use, I went back and ordered two more as backups. We sliced thousands of green bananas (for Honduran/Venezuelan/Colombian dishes) plus many other foods. The slice thickness control was precise and consistent—perfect for frying. Durable, safe, and practically impossible to break. Now traveling in Argentina, I’m ordering another one for my family here so they can experience good quality products. Highly recommended.

Buy it
My son decided he’d be farmer Joe this summer and grow a garden. We have a lot of produce. Which on one hand is great since we don’t have to worry about the poo poo parasite currently in grocery store veggies, but I’m having to cook, freeze, and dehydrate veggies like ma Ingalls and this makes that so much faster. It’s also very nice for the dehydrater since all the veggies are the exact same thickness drying time is similar rather than picking off done one and putting thicker ones back on. It’s sharp, it’s stable, and stores nicely. Cleaning it is a bit of a pain, but considering how much chopping it saves me and gives me even slices, I’m not complaining.

Loving this tool for easy meal prep
This is easily one of my favorite kitchen accessories. I use it several times a week, particularly for making hash brown cubes from potatoes, and it performs beautifully every time. The blade slices through potatoes with ease, making meal prep quick and effortless. What really sets this apart from other kitchen tools, like traditional mandolins, is how safe it is to use. I no longer have to worry about accidentally slicing my fingers, which is a real concern with most mandolins. In fact, it’s safe enough for my 12 and 13-year-olds to use, which is a huge bonus for getting them involved in meal prep. Another great feature is how easy it is to clean. Cleanup is quick and straightforward, which is a big plus in any busy kitchen. We all know that the harder something is to clean, the less likely we are to use it, so the simple maintenance of this tool makes it a go-to in my kitchen. As for long-term durability, time will tell how well the blade holds up, but so far it’s doing an amazing job. It also offers multiple slicing options at a fraction of the price of its competitors, making it an incredible value for anyone looking to make food prep easier and safer. Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and safe tool for slicing and dicing, this is a great option. It’s quickly become an indispensable part of my kitchen routine!

Not as advertised
This mandolin is disappointing. The chute you put the vegetables in is too small to fit an onion. I hate to cut the onion into quarter to get it to fit. I wanted thin onion rings, it sliced it but they didn’t slice in rings. I do like that I can make regular cut fries but they are tiny because you have to put the end of potato in the chute.

It juliennes, matchesticks, slices, and dices with ease, thanks to the adjustable settings and interchangeable blades. Speed Demon: Chopping vegetables used to be a tedious chore. Now, with this slicer, it's a breeze! The sharp blades make quick work of even the toughest veggies, and the food holder guides everything effortlessly. I'm saving so much time in the kitchen, which means more time for enjoying the delicious meals I create. Cheaply made, don't buy
The product seems like a good value until you get it and you realize you bought something you can't clean without destroying. Comes with no instructions and the cheap plastic parts break almost immediately upon touch.
