The Absolute Best Way to Introduce Riding: Pure Confidence, No Tears
As a parent, few milestones are as daunting as teaching a child to ride their first bike. We all remember the frustration, the scraped knees, and the wobbly training wheels. The Strider 12โ Sport Bike has completely eliminated that stress, replacing it with something magical: instant confidence and pure, unadulterated joy. Watching my child climb aboard their Strider for the first time was incredible. This isn't just a bike; itโs a tool for developing self-reliance. Because there are no pedals, the focus is entirely on balancing and steering, using their feet for momentum and stability. They learn the natural rhythm of riding almost immediately, moving from a tentative walk to a confident stride, and finally, to gliding with their feet up. Seeing that look of concentration transform into a grin of triumph as they successfully coast for the first time is one of those core parenting moments you never forget. The 12โ Sport model is perfectly designed for little learners. Itโs incredibly lightweight, meaning kids can easily manage and maneuver it without getting fatigued or frustrated. The adjustable seat and handlebars ensure the bike grows with them, making it a fantastic investment that lasts for years. The built-in footrests are genius, giving them a natural place to put their feet when they find their balance and truly start to fly. If you want to skip the training-wheel phase entirely and give your child the most natural, stress-free entry into cycling, the Strider is the answer. The best part is the seamless transition to a pedal bike later onโthey already know how to balance, steer, and stop. You're not just buying a toy; you're buying them the immediate, exhilarating freedom of their first ride.

Confidence Booster!
Bought this for my almost 3 year old about 6 months ago and heโs been obsessed ever since! He absolutely LOVES it. Itโs light enough for him to handle, tough enough for trails, and the adjustable seat and handles make it perfect to keep using it as he grows. The assembly was super easy, and only took a few minutes. His balance and confidence have grown so much already and he is now coasting with his feet up down small hills/inclines! Weโre hoping to skip the โtraining wheel phaseโ and this bike has been absolutely perfect to be able to just that. Highly recommended for toddlers learning to ride!

Strider Bikes are the best!!! Seriously, just buy one, you will not regret it!
I bought this for my son early this year, prior to his 2nd birthday in March of 2015! The Strider Balance Bike is amazing!!! My wife was a little unsure at first, but quickly saw how our son was learning to balance completely on his own. He was timid with the bike at first, walked along side it, and got annoyed when it would fall over. Soon after he was straddling the bike and walking around the house. His progression did not take long after that. We mainly stuck to having him use it in the house at first, though shortly after he started using it outside on the grass. About 4 months ago he started riding it on trails both on and off road. He can now fly around the house, down the driveway, up and down hills, on pretty much any terrain, and he canโt get enough. We honestly have to hide his bike at times because we just canโt take it everywhere. Once he figured out the balancing he started gliding small distances and now he can balance with both feet up for easily 25 feet or more with the right speed. Great construction, awesome design, and several accessories available, one of which we will be adding very soon (the ski attachments). I have recorded several GoPro videos of him out riding and enjoying this bike, so much fun!!! Definitely worth the price! I do have one suggestion for Strider, in case they read this. The adjustable seat and handle bars are very easy to use, we love this; though some type of height/level marking along the rod would make it even better! As we have adjusted over time for our growing and learning kiddo, it can be difficult to go back to a setting you previously had, or when others happen to adjust the seat, being able to easily adjust back to the appropriate height would be much easier with some type of marking system. I have used electrical tape and this works in a pinch. Thanks! By the way, be prepared to engage in conversation with others about this bike when you take your kiddo out riding, this seriously happens constantly! Youโll be sure to see you kid quickly flying by older kiddos with training wheels on a traditional bike! Eventually we will transition to pedals, but this definitely seems to be the right approach. Enjoy!!! Thank you Strider!!! Please bring some events to Austin Texas and the surrounding areas!!!

Awesome balance bike!
This strider has been perfect for my little boy. He got it for his third birthday and is now almost four and a half. He absolutely loves riding it. It is great quality - very sturdy, stable, and safe. It is also a great bike to travel with - I have been able to easily break it down so it fits easily in my car with all our other luggage. Adjusting the height of the seat and handle bars is easy. He was able to learn to balance on it quickly, and has not started transitioning easily to a *big kid bike* with ease. I am looking forward to my daughter using it in the next couple of months, and I'm sure we will be able to pass it down to their cousins. Great quality!

Great bike, Scary seat post
My husband is an avid MTB rider so he wanted to order this for our sons first birthday. He walks great and he's able to use the balance bike well. We've had the bike since March 2021 at this point so here's my honest opinion of the strider balance bike. My son loves it, plays with it everyday and it seems to be made well. The bike has been used daily since March 2021 without issue. As a mom I have one major issue with the design, the seat or the seat post really! I understand that it's designed to be able to be raised so that as the child grows, the seat can be raised. However, the seat post does stick out through the bottom of the bike and as a balance bike their little legs and feet are right there and in the beginning there are some terrifying falls. At least for me, I'm terrified the seat post is going to jab into his foot or leg. So as a mom, I wish the seat post was shorter. As it is the seat post when lowered is only about 2.5 inches from the floor so it's quite long and to me seems dangerous. With all that being said about the seat post, my son loves it, uses the bike everyday by himself, inside, outside, wherever he can and he's done really well with it even with him being so young. I think it's definitely helped with his overall balance and coordination skills.

Held up to two ruff and tumble boys and it has more life in it.
I can not speak highly enough of these strider bikes. We bought this six years ago. Not only did both of my kids learn how to balance on the one bike, but my wife just sold it on Amazon Market place. My first son was 26ish months when he first started riding it and it took him almost a year before he would pick his feet up and coast. The second was closer to 18 months when he started riding the strider and was balancing by the time he was 2 and a half. The real value is in the transition to pedal bikes and both kids transitioned seamlessly... In fact my 8 year old was the one that taught my 5 year old how to ride his new pedal bike earlier this week. He showed him how to position the pedals and kick off to get started and away he went. No one had to hold onto his seat and he hasn't fallen anymore than he did when he was bombing around on the strider bike. I paid $120 in 2020 and we definitely got our money's worth out of it. I am extremely happy that someone else is going to get just as much joy out of it.

Great starter bike!
Great bike, daughter loves using it on our walks. She was about 1.5yr old when we purchased for her. Took her a bit to get used to it but once she caught on she loved using it. Love the bright pink and looks like a โbig kidโ bike and very sturdy. Doesnโt have the pedals (not included) so she uses her feet which is great to learn her balance. Husband is able to adjust the seat and handle bars easily. Definitely worth the price. ** light enough to carry when the kids decide they donโt want to use it mid walk.

One of the best new products for children!
Amazing how a simple modification (removing the pedals and brakes) has transformed this into an innovative new product. My 1 ' year old son instinctively took to it and has begun to walk with it on the very first day. What I really like about this is that it is a proper bike, not a toy.
