Kal 100 Mcg Selenium Yeast Free Tablets, 100 Count

I have been taking Kal Selenium for 37 years, and I also give it to my cats. Selenium, at the right doses, is one of the best products for cancer prevention I know. It shrinks existing tumors and prevents new ones from growing. It does this for non-cancerous growths as well as cancerous ones. Selenium also works together (synergistically) with Vitamin E, mutually enhancing the effects of these supplements. And Kal is the most reliable brand available to the general public. HOWEVER, in large doses, this wonderful, life-saving substance is deadly. 300 micrograms is the ideal dose for an adult human. If an adult human takes less, there is no effect; if he takes more, he is poisoning himself. If you eat onions and nuts every day, which contain selenium, then you have to figure out how much selium you're consuming. The Nutrition Almanac, by Kirschmann and Kirschmann, is an excellent source for understanding what's in foods and supplements. As for my cats, I give them one sixth of what I take (50 micrograms) a day. In other words, I dose by weight. And, just in case someone thinks it's a good idea for cats to eat onions, onions are lethal for cats. They cause Heinz bodies, which lead to fatal anemia. In short, I highly recommend this product, but don't use it unless you know what you're doing!

My Multivitamin has Selenium in it! but I know I could have more! helps with Cholesterol! I Also take Niacin! I've learned it's a good Idea NOT to take them at The same time! They can cancel each other other out!
