I connected with both Aurora and her mother Ruby in this story: as a weirdo who different and didn’t have an answer to why; and as a mother with three children on the spectrum who worries constantly for their future and their day to day life. I came across this book randomly. I had read “So B. It” years ago and scrolling through Prime Video I saw that it had been made into a movie. I googled the movie to look up some of the actors and saw a google suggestion of the sequel to the book. I was surprised to see it had a follow up and immediately purchased it. I literally finished it in one sitting. Every time I paused to cry, I would have to remind myself “These are just characters. The story isn’t real.” And I tried to talk myself into finishing it later but I couldn’t. I had to know what happened next. This book hit me in the feels and hit me hard. But it was a beautiful read.
