We have three very hyper active 8 month old kittens. They're indoor cats for now - until they acclimatise to their new surroundings (and the outside weather improves)Our curtains were taking a hammering being the huge climbing temptation they obviously were. So, no more curtains for the time being. Enter a couple of these climbing poles. The terrible trio were half way up the first pole as I was fitting it into place. I chose to fit just the top platform and omit the middle two.My reasoning being, they could then launch themselves up the pole - straight to the very top - just like they did with my curtains...This is one thing that's not clear in the product description, you can actually fit any/all/ or none of the supplied platforms as suits you.The pole is made from several screw together sections each consisting of a thick inner cardboard cylinder with fairly thick sisal string wound tightly around the outside. Both ends of the cylinder have a plastic end cap with a captive M10(?) sized nut inside. A double ended threaded stud is used to join the two sections together. The very topmost section has a spring plunger which presses a rubber pad against the ceiling. The excellent and clear instructions do recommend you fit the supplied wall bracket for extra stability, which I'd advise you to, although the structure by itself is "reasonably" rigid - depending on how fat/eager and lively your little monsters may be. In truth? I'd just fit it. There's plenty of adjustment available height wise. Our ceilings are 7' 6" and we were left with an extension piece from the kit.So. How long will this pole last? Looking at it - I think the first thing to let go will be the sisal string. It'll either fray or more likely the staples holding it into place to the cardboard inner will eventually let go. This should be a simple enough fix though.Overall? Highly recommended. Instructions are very clear, the poles are sturdy enough, no frills, they will fit a wide variety of ceiling heights. And? My three little monsters love them. Attached photos. Third monster? Stuffing his face with food. Onward & sideways.

I bought this for my two Bengals who love heights. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy enough for both of them to be on it at the same time without the bracket. We put the bracket on anyway to make it extra sturdy and only put the top platform up to give them extra climbing space. My cats absolutely love it! It's high, they can climb up, jump up, jump down, climb down, kick to their hearts' content around the tree when on top of the platform (it's a Bengal thing) - what's not to love! They are both on it several times a day, every day. They are very active indoor cats. Extra bonus: Since I've bought this they stopped jumping on top of doors. Great value for the price. Highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. Very simple and straightforward to put together. It did have one rogue staple sticking out so I removed it but other than that, no issues. The instructions mention sawing the top piece to fit but this wasn’t necessary in my case.The tree wobbles a little but it’s pretty sturdy and doesn’t feel like it will fall so I haven’t attached it to the wall. My cat is a one year old and he’s just over 5kg. He literally jumps at the tree when he has zoomies and it’s withstood it all so far. Very pleased with this purchase!

I was hectic to order at first as some reviews aren’t so great but I gave the benefit of the doubt and did and im happy with it, My 1 year old ragdoll cat loves it too she weighs nearly 5kg and she jumps and pouches on it and it doesn’t move at all very secure. it needs 2 people to be fully secured at the top it does come with different parts for the top part so good for ceilings on the smaller side and great for ceilings on the larger side too mine is just hitting 240cm building is an easy process its just abit time consuming took my about an hour overall to build up. Scratch posts are great thick and rope is good quality. The perches for them to sit are a tiny bit on the small side so for huge cats but mines seems to be fine just be abit mindful of that but they are sturdy and strong and this scratch post can hold 2 cats as my other 8 year old tabby cat is now sitting on it with the ragdoll and they both weigh about 15kg all together. . They both love sitting on it and staring out the window at the birds I have moved the perches around just abit so she can climb down when they are fully straight she struggles to jump back down but overall I love this product definitely recommend. Hope this review can help any other buyers thinking to purchase (definitely choose this one).Commenting on here 1 year later it’s still going strong!

Easy to assemble, feels sturdy, cat was up it within thirty seconds. Success. One of the few I could find with an option for my low ceilings.

Really pleased with this, my cat took to it very quickly and it’s great for her to climb.It’s pretty sturdy, wobbles a bit when she’s playing on it as the video shows but it’s in no danger of falling down. Definitely don’t let the kids on it though.Super easy to assemble, took 10 mins. There’s an optional wall bracket which isn’t really needed unless you have lots of cats probably. The instructions say to use an inch extra when attaching the top section to the ceiling - you’ll see what I mean if you buy it - but I found this wasn’t enough and ended up using an extra four inches. Get your mind out of the gutter Dorothy!

Whilst it took some time to put it together, reading the instructions closer may have helped. The finished product is really good for the money and better than I expected.
