3M CA-1170 DI-NOC GLOSS BLACK CARBON FIBER 4ft x 2ft (8 Sq/ft) Flex Vinyl Wrap Film

This is great vinyl. It's also the real 3M material (3M backing paper) unlike a lot of the other products that are advertised as 3M but are a cheaper brand. This price is about the lowest you'll find for real 3M di-noc. This stuff is actually woven vinyl instead of printed "fake" weave on vinyl. It's also very thick. Complex curves will be difficult to get wrinkle free, but isn't impossible as long as you use heat and stretch it a bit. I wouldn't recommend this for something with a lot of complex curves, but for mostly flat trim panels, this stuff works very well. I will update in a few weeks after it sits in the hot southwest sun (100+ degrees) on how it's holding up.

I had never wrapped anything before, well except presents. This was easy to work with. I wrapped my boat dashboard with the carbon fiber vinyl. You can either use a heat gun or hairdryer to get around the edges. I recommend purchasing the 3M primer. It helps secure the edges, especially if you are wrapping something with a lot of curves. I watched a YouTube video and was very happy with the outcome of my project. Just be patient and you can get great results. Totally changes the look.

Great product. If you really like the look of carbon fiber this is probably the closest look you will get. It doesn't have the "depth" of real carbon fiber and resin, but still looks great. I would recommend this product in modesty as it can be a bit much on the eyes to use on ALL of your interior pieces. It is great to work with, very forgiving and with a little heat can be easily contoured. Take your time with this stuff and you MUST use the primer for more aggressive corners / shapes.

I'm using this kit to wrap my Honda Shadow VT600C's gas tank and fenders. I already did the neck and side panels. Use it with 3M surface primer and holy crap will it stick. Just get it on right the first time or you'll likely tear the carbon fiber when you try to peel it off. Use a heat gun too to help with the curves.

This is by NO means "black" it's dark grey. Does not even come close to matching actual black. Highly disappointed.

Good quality but not truly glossy finish.

Could not get the wrinkles out of some parts but the more serious problem is that the product lifted from the car interior after my car was exposed to some short periods in the sun. Had to remove carbon fiber film.

Wonderful product! And this vendor always gets the order right- they actually understand there is a difference between GLOSS and MATTE Black Di-noc. Looks great and provides protection from the elements on the hood of this customer's automobile.
