Great for thick silver wire!
I got some really thick (16g) sterling silver wire for a project and realized I needed sturdier flush cutters for it. Like some other reviews mentioned, these don’t cut fully flush, there is a little bit of a pinch point, but it’s subtle and doesn’t bother me. These cut through the wire like butter, and the only “damage” was some of the paint chipped off, the cutting edges themselves are unaffected. The little chain to hold the handles together is a nice touch, it makes these easier to store.

If they ever break I may cry
Excellent--it really does make *nearly* flush cuts; metal cut with this barely needs to be filed at all before being soldered. If they ever break I may cry--I don't want to go back to using the crappy metal cutters bought at Hobby Lobby before. Works well for cutting sheets of solder too.Update June 8, 2020 : while the handle action is a little 'stickier' these cutters are still sharp and I still use them regularly. I may purchase a second pair just to have one in my home studio and one in my traveling case. Every time I forget to take them to class and have to use the crappy pliers there I miss them.

Very good cutter.
I run an orthodontic laboratory and these are the cutters I've always used. Easily cuts the wires we use, from .018" to .051". When they wear out, usually in a few years from LOTS of use, I would buy them from an orthodontic supply company. Amazon's price is almost $12 cheaper than the ortho supply company.

Cuts small wires well
I was looking for a wire cutter for my flower designer mom. While it cuts nicely, it wasn’t what she needed for heavier wire.. She said she would have other uses for it. I liked it, and would have taken it to use if she had no use for it.
