Grow bags are a great alternative to not having the space for a spacious garden. I bought 3 dozen in various sizes...25gal, 15, 10 and 1gal for specific varieties of plants, all edible.I discovered that the watering can be tricky. Although I filled each bag with pre-watered soil, after time discovered that the sides would weep at each watering and later that the sun and heat dehydrated the sides of the bags to the bottom leaving a soil so dry roots could not grow into. This is correctable.Depending on the size of the grow bag take a plastic garbage bag and cut the bottom out and line the inside of the grow bag prior to filling with pre-moistened soil. Once the grow bag is filled with soil the pre-placed garbage bag will prevent moisture from being drawn out the sides of the grow bag and with the bottom of the garbage bag cut off you will retain any watering excess drain necessary.Problem solved!

This item seemed like a great low-cost way to add to my garden space as I have a very small yard and garden. It is sturdy and the handles are great for moving plants under cover during early (frost) season and before hail storms that are common here. But now it is late summer and the heat is on. As this is a cloth pot, it does not hole moisture like a clay or plastic or metal container would. I must water 2x a day (plants are in direct hot sunlight) or the contents wilt and would die if I didn't water. If you're able to water 2x daily, this is a great deal. I'm retired and due to COVID am not traveling away on vacations/trips...so I have the time. But under normal circumstances...this container is not very suitable for full-time sun garden as the cloth sides wick away the moisture from the roots quickly whereas a more conventional container does not do this. Next season I will re-purpose them for shaded patio...I think they may do well when not in the heat...but still may need to be watered every other or every 3rd day. Or...maybe if one were growing a cactus or other xeric type of plant.

I am so in love with these bags! I have them all over the garden and porches growing everything from flowers to carrots and cucumbers. I plan on having most of my shallow root vegetables in them next year too. The only thing I've found is that they dry out pretty fast so watering every night or having a drip system is advisable. They also get ready hot so watch what you plant if they're in direct sunlight for most of the day. I have mainly warm weather plants like tomatoes and peppers in mine along the southern part of the garden and flowers and onions along the east side of the house where it cools off nicely in the middle of the day.As for durability, I gave these bags full marks because I only expect 2-3 years from them. You should plan on covering them or even emptying them for the winter months in US zones 1-9 where winter is wet and/or freezing more than often than not. I'll be more than happy if I get 4+ years though.I'd like to recommend this company as well as the bags. When everyone else had run out of grow bags, they had enough in stock for me to order multiple times well into the growing season. I'm very pleased with the price as well as the shipping time. I plan on only getting my bags and other items from them in the future.

Okay when I opened these, I rolled my eyes and thought “no way this is five flipping gallons!” And I was wrong! I filled a five gallon bucket with soil, then dumped it in the fabric pot and it took every bit of the five gallons and then some. It took a whole 1 cubic foot bag of potting soil. The fabric seems to be pretty thick and the handles seem pretty sturdy. All in all, I believe these will work well. I’ll be putting my squash and zucchini seedlings in them and I’m not gonna lie... I’m probably gonna spend a fortune on soil since each pot will hold an entire bag BUT I will gladly do so to be sure that my plants have plenty of room to grow!

I really like these planting bags because they give me good results when I'm growing my tomatoes in them. I also plant my flowers and these planting bags . My flowers look great and beautiful and the best part that these growing bags let The Roots breathe and it has great water drainage. I recommend these planting bags for anybody that's looking some planting pots.

I love these! Just what i was looking for. The bags shipped fast. If you're on a budget, These bags are a great value. These bags have good strong handles with double striching. The construction of these bags well done and strong, although I would have like to have had double stretching along the bottom crease of the bags.The bags are true to size even though they look a lot smaller they hold 5 gallons of dirt to the T. They are the perfect size to grow in small spaces. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I didn't receive the plant tags that were supposed to come with it.....not a deal breakerWill update with plants pics. I Will be buying more for sure.

I had some of the same plants in these bags and some in plastic planters, by far I had better growth from these bags!! Seems I can even reuse them a 2nd cycle. See how many times they hold up! I will update later! Easy to move around. The will leak a little more water from sides if you water too fast, but no more then the plastic planter out the bottom. No issue at all. I think the roots loves the extra air.
