I wanted some type of covering for my basement stairs which I recently painted, and these fit the bill.Their size of 8 inches by 30 inches is good, covering most of the stair.Some of the negative reviews of this product made me unsure but I decided to give them a try and it turns out their fit and finish is actually excellent. They are all sized uniformly and the fabric seems hearty. It is true that you will want to fasten or secure them somehow -- I opted to use a heavy duty staple gun, which did the trick.The color is uniform among all 14 of them and they work perfectly for the needed application.They are easy to clean and soft to the touch but seem rugged enough.Highly recommended, especially compared to pricier alternatives!

My headline basically sums up what I think about this product. The treads are nicely woven (no snags, or strings) and no over powering carpet smell either. The treads line up nicely on our stairs and have added a very class touch!The negative reviews that say, "treads don't stick." Of course they don't! These are "not" self-adhesive and you must purchase adhesive tape - suggested. No problems there either. Tape is double sided and affixes to the back of the tread nicely. Easy to lay down (and pull up if you misaligned upon application).If you are, however, looking for a little extra padding, the treads are unfortunately not padded. (I am not sure how well that would work anyway and by that point, would suggest a carpet runner). But if you are like me and hate carpet, the treads have eliminated stepping on painful carpet tacks (poking through) when our stair runner started to wear..... this product is for you!

The picture made me realize these all have an identical pattern on them, will probably flip a few around for aesthetic. Couldn’t be too much happier with these carpet treads. The stairs are steep and hardwood and lead up to a loft space and the kids’ room in our 100+/- year old house. They *are* very thin, which is fine for me and my 70+ year old dad doesn’t catch them with his feet or slip on them at all. They have a tight enough weave, the rubber back appears to be fused, and the edges finished well enough they should last me at least a few years. We’ve had them on this high traffic stairway for about 2 weeks, I’ve not noticed any slipping but we do have to ‘bop’ them back occasionally. Mine all appear to be the same length but one or two edges are a little wonky.*If you’re going for absolute perfection and lushness these are not for you. Spend more money and get the expensive ones.*If you’re going for practical, does its job and looks quite nice doing so, go for these. They also come in packs of 7 for my 14 steps. (Seriously?!! Why do all these companies sell in 13??!!! I have 14 stepssss 😫)Overall quite pleased.

I bought these for my basement stairs and they look so pretty! They’re nice and thick and a good quality. I did use double sided tape when I put them down to keep them from slipping!

Looks nice and does the job

Item is well made in terms of fabric and the colors are vibrant and nice.However it's 3 stars because it doesn't stay in place! I got this for my staircase because the wood is a bit slippery. There is rubber on the bottom so that it doesn't move when you step directly on it, but it easily moves from side to side when touched from the sides which is dangerous.I had to purchase a separate two-sided tape which was annoying.Quality of fabric : GreatColors/Look : GreatSafety/Use ; POOR (include something to stick each tread to the stairs!!)

They are really nice. I wanted them for the steps because my steps get real hot in the summer. Easy to install.

We had a set of stairs in our backyard that was always getting very slippery after it rained. We tried non-slip glue down strips but they wouldn't stay. I decided to give these a try as they cover the majority of the stair. Seeing some of the reviews that mentioned needing to be secured, I decided to nail them to the steps. So far they have been great nailing them down. Obviously keeps them from slipping and they have created good traction in the rain.
