I have only two HDMI inputs and one is taken up with the sound system so I have to switch between apple tv and my fire stick and some times I unplug the Apple and plug in the DVD player. I did not get the switch with a remote as I wanted to see how well using a switch worked. Getting to the back of my 65 in. TV is the job from hell and the HDMI cord to the switch allows me to put the HDMI input any place I want like next to my DVD player.
