I am not a pro
Just a tinkerer, saturday mechanic here. I think this hose is fine. No problem. Especially for the price, I love it. It's not leaking, it's not binding. It came with all the gaskets. But, not being a pro, I suppose I still may not know what should be really important.I see a lot of questions and misguiding answers about what this hose is and isn't. Here ia my description:72 inches long yellow charging hose 3/8 inner diameter with knurled nuts on both ends threaded to "1/2 acme" both, one end is bent at about 30 degrees and has a removable Yellow Jacket (barrel) style valve depressor. This hose will not connect to your "Quick Connect" thingies that attach to the low and high side on the car fitted with r134a refrigerant. Those connectors accept smaller diameter (1/4 inner) blue and red hoses with nuts threaded to "1/4 male flare", at least mine do. This hose is generally used for connecting the middle manifold port to the freon can / or the middle manifold port to the vacuum pump. It is bigger in order for you to be able to suck out the air using the pass-through capacity of both, the blue and the yellow hoses at the same time without creating a bottleneck.

good for a "little used" hose
Bought this to replace my "black magic" brand charge hose that started to leak after about 20 years. Now I charge using a different set up so this hose will only be used when I evacuate a system, which I only have to do every few years so for the price this seems fine. It is 6 foot long my old one was 5 feet so a little more reach. It has a larger diameter, but at 600 psi working pressure, 3000 psi burst it is less than my 750 psi WP, 4000 psi "black magic". BUT again for the price, for my needs it is fine. OH it has 1/2" fittings so if using on older 1/4" equipment you will need adapters. Fortunately for me I have lots of adapters. I gave my ratings based on the working pressures, and need for adapters. So far happy with purchase, of course I have not used it much up to this point. Time will tell

Replaced the old HFT yellow hose.
apparently the seal fell out of my yellow hose on my HFT gauge set. That seal is impossible to find. This FJC hose fit perfectly.

This charging hose performed well as a replacement for the damaged one on my Harbor Freight/U.S. General A/C manifold gauge set for 134A - Item#92649. It also connected and performed well when connected to my Harbor Freight/Pittsburg 2.5 CFM vacuum pump. For you DIY home mechanics - Make sure you connect the "open end" of the hose to your gauge manifold, and the "valve end" to the vacuum pump, and/or your freon dispenser. The valve will allow you to evacuate the system, and close when disconnecting the hose to attach your freon supply without losing vacuum. A good idea is to have a Can Tap Dispenser for 134A if you're using the small 12OZ cans to recharge -- preferably a metal one, with a valve. Adjust the valve when dispensing freon as necessary for the "sweet spot".

Finally a true R134 hose.
This is a R134 hose. This fits the older / dedicated R134 Manifold and R134 30 lb Tank.If your Gauge Manifold has R410 on the Gauge this will NOT fit. If your Manifold gauge set ONLY has R134, this is the hose for you.For the NEWBEE, R134 dia is LARGER than R410.Vegas OBie
