Amazon Basics Rectangular Dish Drying Mat, 2-Pack, 16" x 18", Charcoal, Solid

I use this mat under my dog's raise bowls to catch any spills. I have a golden retriever a pyrenees and a pitbull and they are all messy drinkers so my kitchen was a constant mess and I was mopping ever few hours. These mats paired with slopper stopper bowls were the answer to my prayers. The mats are absorbent so they catch the few drips that remain despite the slopper stopper. My kitchen is now mess free and there isnt water and paw prints everywhere. I know these are sold for dish drying but they work great under dog bowls and are much cheaper than the ones with designs on them labeled for dog use. It also comes in a pack of 3 which was perfect for my 3 pups. I havent washed them yet but I will update the review if anything were to go wrong.

I'm a college student and this works great for my apartment. The rack is so useful for dishes, and the mat looks cute and absorbs pretty well. It may be a little hard to clean (might need to put in washer), but it rarely gets dirty since I only put clean dishes on top. The material is nice too

This does exactly what you want it to do, a highly absorbent drying pad to put your hand wash kitchen tools and gadgets. I knock it down a star for two reasons: (i) size, it’s just not well sized for the standard apartment kitchen counter sizes you see on the east coast where I live, and I imagine that would be doubly so in cities like NYC and Boston where kitchen counters can trend even smaller; and (ii) storage seems not well thought-through, roll or fold it leaves unsightly creases which make me worry about longevity. Nonetheless, I’m happy with my purchase and can imagine this being perfect for my cousins in the mid-west or friends in the suburbs.

If you let your dishes drip a few seconds in the sink before placing them on this mat you significantly reduce the water it will have to collect which makes the drying time much faster. If you load the entire mat with dishes it will have too much water for it to evaporate before mildew starts forming inside it within a couple days so I found using this mat on top of a raised wire cooling rack (standard full sheet size) allows for air to circulate under the mat and the mat dries out in 6hrs instead of 1.5 to 2 days if it was sitting directly on my marble countertop with no air circulation under it.

I only needed 1 of these but they came in a 3-pack so I've been trying them for various uses. Right now I have one under our Soda Stream that seems to always be sitting in a slimy puddle of water, one under our coffee grinder that is always surrounded by grounds that sneak out of the bin, and one as a dog dish mat to soak up the water they always dribble when drinking. No, I'm not using any of them as a dish drying mat and yes they're working for all of the other uses. They look better than a towel and are faster drying so I'm happy with them for all of these uses.

Absorbent, durable, easy to clean. What more could you ask for? I didn't have a dishwasher in my college apartment and this product was a gamechanger. We put a drying rack on top and used it to absorb all the water that dripped off, but I am sure you could use it as a drying rack itself, I just didn't find that very space efficient.

I bought the 4-pack for the price break. The mats measure as stated, lightweight but lay flat. I don’t notice an issue when my dishes are drying on them but after being machine washed and dried according to instructions they aren’t actually dry so I had to hang them up for a day. No problem, I have 2 to use while the other 2 are drying.It says to wash in cold water. I like to wash kitchen linens in hot but it’s not a big deal to wash these separate.

I think this product is alright because it is cheap, it has a great absorption power and the mat is rather large (for one or two person). However the product also looks a bit cheap and some sides of the plates holder are already corroded because not correctly manufactured (metal exposed).

I use it all the time - I purchased it more than a year ago and still looks brand new. I put it in the washing machine in one of these bags just to make sure it is well take care of.
