FMLSL 20840 M4 Square 14-Inch LED Flush Mount Light, 4000K, 1100 Lumens, 16 Watts, White (FMLSL 14 20840 M4)

I put a home office in my basement and needed some new light. Most of my work in on a computer, so I'm rather particular about lighting and glare. I had never used a LED light, so I wasn't sure what to expect. To my delight, this light worked great for me. I got the 4000K, 67 lum, 14x14" model. For my taste, it puts out almost exactly what I want. I combined with a dimmer ( Leviton 6674-P0W SureSlide Universal 150-Watt LED and CFL/600-Watt Incandescent Dimmer, White, 1 Pack ). At night, I can dim the light a bit to get just enough light to not trip over something. The light produced is a soft white and there's no glare. For some people, just one of these, for a large enough space, probably wouldn't be enough. I purchased two, although when I got the first one up, decided it was enough for what I like. For a smaller room (I'm lighting up around 17x15'), it would likely be enough. If I were really wanting to light up a room wall to wall, one of the brighter units would be better I suspect. Installation was a dream. They put on their thinking caps when designing, so it's easy to get the base up (like putting up a ceiling fan), then attach the light to the base with two simple levers. I would definitely purchase again. I actually still have my second one sitting by my desk and didn't return because I want to find somewhere to put it in the house now.

Very bright ceiling light like i wanted, exceeded my expectation. Replaced my fluorescent circle bulb ceiling light in my laundry room. Much brighter and light is evenly distributed 360 degrees around the room. Much better than recessed or flush mount which tend to emit light downwards like a spot light. Spent more money on this than i wanted but will save me money in long run since i will not have to buy expensive $20 replacement bulbs every year anymore. Installation can be a pain if you follow the instructions. I improvised on the install by pulling the fixture wires back through the metal base and running my existing electrical wires through the base plate before i mounted it to the ceiling. This allowed me to mount to ceiling and then make the connections, instead of attempting to make the connections while holding the fixture which is 12” square before mounting to the ceiling with the wires in the way. The fixture is LED which produces little to no heat, so making the connections inside the cover is not an issue. They do not affect the lighting either and are barely visible ( how often are you staring at the light directly anyway?) Doing it this way saved a lot of time and profanity on the install. Biggest issue was the existing ceiling mount where the screws attach the fixture to the ceiling did not match the fixture but they never do for me anyway so i didn’t expect them to. Again i improvised and had to use a washer on one side and no big deal. Excellent for laundry room, utility room, office or attic (if you have the wiring for it) or any space where you need it nice and bright so you can see. Much brighter than my previous fixture which makes it easier to do laundry and keep the room clean and neat.

This Lithonia Lighting flush mount is bright and gives off great, even light. The sleek white design fits well in my hallway and looks modern. The LED quality is excellent, and it uses less energy than my old fixture. My only issue was the installation—it took a bit longer than I expected and needed two people to manage it safely. Other than that, it’s a solid, reliable light fixture that I’d recommend.

I love these lights. I had one of the old fluorescent style above my kitchen sink and the bulbs finally gave out after years of daily use. LED replacement bulbs for the old unit cost 60% of a new light and require pulling the ballast out. I decided it was better to just buy a new one that came with the LED lights. Hooked it up a week or so ago and it's brilliant. The LEDs are brighter than my old one. Nice. I also have the PIR motion sensing version in my closets, can't speak enough about how well they work either. Love these lights and the various versions!

So far, I'm impressed. Just replaced a double circular fluorescent. It wasn't pretty, but was about the brightest ceiling light you could get for a long time. This beats it by a longshot. Although the rated 1600 lumens is at least theoretically lower with this fixture, I believe it is actually brighter at less than half the total watts. It's lightweight and easy to install. Not fancy, but has a nice clean look and low profile. The light spreads evenly and it doesn't blind you glancing directly at it. Nice clean, basic form but highly functional. With the very long expected life, it's a case of install it and forget it. Nothing to maintain. The 4000k version is a nice, cool, crisp white light, good for areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Not too harsh or blue shifted. I shifted most lighting to fluorescents and CFLs some time back and have begun transitioning to LEDs now. I just can't understand why some people seem hooked on incandescents LEDSs have way too much going for them and the prices are coming down to where they pay for themselves in energy savings pretty quickly. I'll be getting more of these and it's smaller little brother. Nice fixture!

My picture doesn't do it justice. It gives off a crisp, even light that feels as bright as day. The light's color temperature is perfectly neutral ; neither blue nor yellow. That's the way I like it for my bathroom. It's so bright that I recommend using a dimmer if you have sensitive eyes. If you need lots of light in a room, look no further.

Clear, bright light source for my kitchen which was previously dull and shadowy. Now with the new light/bright light fixture and a little paint i have an amazing room with no shadows or dark spots.

Put 4 of these fixtures in my garage to replace my double 4 foot fluorescents. The light is whiter and brighter with instant on and no warm up time. Easy to install . Just wait for the price of these to bottom out then they are a great buy. I was in no hurry to purchase these fixtures so I just added them to the "save for later" option and they finally dropped to $64.

I purchased two they are so bright, and easy to put up while being nice and compact to the ceiling. Very impressed....so much so....I ordered two more and they came so fast it was amazing.
