Do I have to go back to the beginning when I turn off my audio book

I assume you are using a plug in USB and not a cd for the audio book.In my case ,by pressing 'pause' ,the place is held but after a while the Roxel switches off and starts from the beginning when you switch on.If that's what you mean,sorry we are in the same boat today.

Does it have dual voltage 110-220V?

Yes it does, as long as you use the right adaptor it will work perfectly fine in the range of 100-220 V.

Does it save your place in an audio book?

No it doesn't save once switched off but will save when on pause (approx 8 minutes).

Can you change the battery in the remote control, if so what does it take? Does the cd lid pop open.or do you pull it open?

The battery is a ‘coin’ shaped 3v, CR 2025, and is easy to change. The lid has to be opened manually but again is easy to use.
