Proven range 40-50m, disconnects regularly, gps inaccurate, fish finding questionable
Overall disappointed and do not recommend, I feel the 200 pounds paid for it has been a waste of money and I'm having to purchase a more effective/reliable sonar/fish finder. I've had one of these for over a year now and when it is connected it does provide accurate depth measurements and bottom weed indication. Considering the cost, it does not provide good value in that it disconnects regularly, the maximum effective range is 40-50m and even at this range it disconnects frequently (it needs further development to improve the wifi signal strength, which wouldn't cost very much in comparison to the total cost of the unit), I've tested the unit indoors and the wifi signal strength is very poor, fish indication is unreliable/questionable, the gps data is insufficiently accurate to be of use for swim mapping, the sonar also gives lots indistinct data that cannot be interpreted, high probability of breaking off unless a shock leader etc is used.
