Saved me about $1,000
this was PERFECT! A boy hit my tail light with a baseball and it made a perfect round hole in the red plastic. My husband fixed it with some thin vinyl tape that lasted about three years surprisingly but looked pretty ratchet. As I say, I finally broke through and not one but TWO cops stopped me for the brake; thankfully warnings both times. Next time would be a $150 ticket and then a new tail light assembly would be about $700 plus. Found this on Amazon and easily put it on about 3 weeks ago. So far so good! Staying on great and looks great!

Used Properly, It Does The Job
I like this product very much. It's worked great for me so far... I had a three-inch crack in my taillight and thought this might be an easy solution to keep dirt/moisture out and prevent the crack from spreading. Reading other reviews before purchasing it, I was concerned about the adhesion strength and whether it would hold on a curved section of my repair area. So I made sure to clean the lens area well before applying AND I also "flexed" the film overnight by first cutting it to the desired size and shape and then sticking each end between some books on my bookshelf until it achieved the "bow" I wanted. The next day, the piece had attained a degree of curve that would allow it to adhere to the shape of my lens. It went on very easily, seemed to hold well, and the crack in my lens is virtually invisible. And the red color of the film perfectly matches my lens. It's been on for about a month now and shows no signs of fading, cracking, or coming loose. Most importantly, it protects the bulb and electrical components of my taillight. Take the time to clean the area well and, most importantly I feel, obtain a degree of flex to the film (If applying to a curved surface) and I think you'll get good results. Highly recommended.

Good for flat surface, not so much for small, curved surface
Dumb me bumped into my recycle bin and popped the tail light lens. Decided to give this tape a try, instead of spending $200 on replacing the len +additional labor cost since this would require take apart the trunk door...Well, this tape is strong, rigid. And I very much agree with other reviewers that it doesn't fit curved surface well due to how rigid it is. Also, it is not that easy to get a perfect fit where air bubble is squeezed out... if you look under bright light, it is also quite obvious. It adds to the difficulty since the side that was broken is quite narrow. It took me a while to get curved side flat on the lens (I did pre-bend it based on other review...), but there is still bubbles that I can see. And the under side wasn't fit well. But bubbles may not be the tapes fault...One thing that puzzles me is that my package arrived like in "returned" state. What I mean is, the sticker on the package doesn't stick anymore and there are quite some scratches on the tape also. The edges of the tape is a little rough also, don't look like a machine cut. Makes me suspect this was a return.Since its been raining nonstop here and I need to fix this asap, I decided to accept this and give it a go. I will be back update how this holds and depending on how it goes, hopefully to make a decision on whether to keep it or return it.Update 1 day later after install:the first 4~5 hrs after putting it on, I went to check it and tape is well fitted to the lens. I thought it was good. However, just 5mins ago I suddenly decided to check on it, and I saw the corner popped up.. with tiny strand of adhesions that I can see in the gap. I pushed it back in, hoping it can be fixed and didnt take picture for that. but now I really doubt how long it can hold... I took away one star for it... If I ended up have to take it off, which would also be pain for sure, I will make sure take picture and bring it down to 1star...In short, if you are using it on curved surface, good luck. otherwise, it is good for flat surface fix.

Nope
Only use this if you have an absolutely flat surface. Any bend and it will not stick.
