New Balance Men's 1300 Trail Walking Shoe

I bought my first pair of the 1300 over a year ago and was amazed at how comfortable they were and the overall fit was perfect. I do a lot of traveling and walking and wanted a strong, waterproof, and good looking casual and these have been better than I expected. I used to carry an extra pair of workout shoes when I traveled but with these I don't have to. They look good enough for office wear and business-casual meetings. With a year of wear and tear on them they have held up better than expected, no unraveling or delaminating, and have resisted most stains. I've washed them with soap and water a couple of times and the looks came back. A few months ago another pair came up that was an open box at about half the price and I bought them in a second. Now I save those for travel and use my first pair for my daily wear. Love these shoes!

I am going on my third pair of these shoes, my first two were slightly different but these fit the same and is as comfortable. I go through shoes probably quicker than most but I have wide feet and these are so comfortable. Cant tell you how many shoes I have gone through to find these. Hopefully they will not discontinue these... Happy Feet...

Hubby has worn this N. B. shoe for years to work in. They are made well and hold up to his working as a lawn professional. Our local N. B. Store added an orthotic insert. He has no feet pain. The color is perfect. The design keeps him stable. He and I are both disappointed that this shoe is being discontinued.

The good...looks good, is waterproof as I walked thru some wet grass and noticed the water fell off once I hit the pavement. Fits fairly well. Can be worn as casual dress or for hiking as bottoms have decent tread.The not so good...price as these were high for my budget. A little tighter than I expected. I got the 10.5 X-wide, but the 11 X-wide might have been a better fit. Strings seem a little short.Overall: I do like the look of this shoe and so far I am happy with my purchase. I haven't had them that long and not worn everyday. If I were to purchase again, I would probably try a larger size, but really no complaints so far.

I have to say I didn’t know what to expect from these shoes, other than good arch support. First day with them on there was a deluge of rain at work and I had to stand out and help people for over an hour. The whole time no water got in, and when I went to the beach with them on no sand got in either. These things are more than walking shoes, they are good all around almost boots! They are light weight, have good support inside(once you get used to them), and are durable.If you are someone who wants shoes you can wear just about everywhere doing anything I would recommend these.This is coming from someone who has been wearing new balance since 2007 and never had shoes like these before. Then again I didn’t know New Balance made them like these.

I recently got a new pair of these and figured I’d update my review. My original review is below. I purchased my first pair in Sept. 2020 and my second pair in Dec. 2022.My only complaint about these shoes when I first got them was that they would squeak when I walk. That eventually worked itself out and I wore them for two years worth of 5+ mile a day walking for work. I really have no complaints about these. I’ve owned quite a few pairs of shoes and everything else I’ve worn for work has lasted 6 months at best, so I’m very impressed with these shoes!Since I received a brand new pair for Christmas, I’ve included some pictures of the old pair and new pair as a comparison.Original Review:These shoes fit well and are very comfortable. I walk a lot at work, so having a good pair of shoes is important to me. I really enjoyed them for the first month that I had them, but they have since developed a squeak that is very annoying.Every time I shift my weight to take a step with my left foot, the right shoe squeaks. It happens on all types of ground, whether it's dirt, concrete, tile, carpet, etc. I think this is caused by a small tear/hole in the bottom of the right shoe.For the amount that I paid for these shoes, I expected them to hold up better. I'll keep wearing them until they fall apart, but that squeak is really getting on my nerves.

These are the worst New Balance shoes I've ever purchased. I'm a senior with Morton's toe (second toe is longer than the big toe) and bought shoes 1/2 size larger and +1 size wider than my foot measurements. Senior tend to need stiffer shoes with a lot of stability. Even after a number adjustments to the laces, these shoes pinched my feet and were uncomfortable to wear, particularly longer walks (> 2 miles). New Balance used to make exactly the shoes I needed, but I guess they're going after the younger crowd. Definitely not recommended for anyone requiring stability in their footwear.

I was pleased that the shoes fit well from the outset, requiring no breaking-in. Moreover, I could wear them all day, without experiencing any discomfort (in comparison with my other shoes). I was also concerned about ankle support, given that one of my ankles has been badly sprained numerous times and is the weak link in falling. The shoes seems sturdy enough to give ample ankle support. I wavered in giving a four-star or five -star rating, only because of the shoe-laces. They simply won't stay tied, meaning that I have to re-tie them several times a day. Normally I would used a "double-tie," thereby solving the problem, but the laces are not really long enough unless I tighten the laces to the point that the shoes become uncomfortable. I will replace the laces, but that it not something that I expected to have to do. Otherwise, the shoes meet all of my expectations, and I really like them.

Like this product very much, fits very well, light weight and lovely to walk in.Very good product.

Der Schuh ist super bequem und sehr gut verarbeitet. Es war bereits ein Vorgängermodell von NEW BALANCE im Einsatz, welches jetzt einfach mal ersetzt werden musste. Prompt sind wir bei Amazon fündig geworden u. haben zugeschlagen. Immer wieder gerne! Die Schuhe sind absolut weiterzuempfehlen!
