Can anyone tell me what voltage (ac/dc and amount) the machines apply to these? i was thinking of using some of these for an "off-label" project.

Internally, most of these machines reduce the household voltage to 18-24V DC and then apply it to the wire. You can apply a wider range of voltage though, just affects how quickly it heats up and longevity of the wire. I've used some of these for "off-label" projects before with 6V or 12V 2A power adapter to good effect. On the lower voltage it took up to 30 seconds to heat up enough to be useful

How do you adhere the non-stick cloth? i'm very excited as the element does fit my old rival seal-a-meal! thank you

Hi, the nonstick cloth on these is not adhesive on either side. It is meant for use with industrial type plastic sealing machines which usually have clamps or covers holding these in place. You can find the adhesive type by searching for "ptfe adhesive tape". They come in rolls of various lengths and widths. 1" wide x 33yards seems to be the most popular

Fixed my food saver!

Food Saver brand vacuum sealer stopped sealing the pouches. The element would not heat. It lasted 7 years.! No parts from manufacturer. The were happy to sell me a new model for $200. Bought this heating element, minor modification for length and it worked great. You will need to buy 1/2 Teflon tape though. The tape that comes with the elements does not have an adhesive. Thank you Amazon!

Element Worked Great - No Glue on Teflon Tape

The heat element fit perfectly on my Rival Seal A Meal but the gold Teflon tape that came in the package is NOT tape. There is no adhesive on it rendering it useless. Now I need to purchase a 30 foot roll of Teflon tape for my 12” heat element.

Works in a pinch.

Heating elements were a tiny bit shorter than the original ones on my sealer and caused the element to be raised slightly. Still usable but caused strips to burn through much more quickly.

Restored my 12" PowerSeal to like-new performance

Metal strip was shorter than 12”

I was very disappointed when I realized the metal heating element was shorter than it should’ve been for my 12” sealer. I was able to use the Teflon slip but had to reuse my old metal heating strip.

Used to repair cheap vacuum sealer

Just the part needed to repair Razorri vacuum sealer purchased on Amazon. The unit was 3 years old and the heating element gave up. Razorri did not have parts available. SuperTerrific saved me money with this part.
