Metal Gear Solid Original Soundtrack

As the reader, you need to understand where I'm coming from here. I'm not a gamer. I'm more into the original NES games and maybe a few Super Nintendo games. Because of that, I have a love for the Metal Gear series of games all the way back to the original NES game. When "Metal Gear Solid" came out, I was able to play it over at a buddy's house and fell in love with it. Great game-play, story, and graphics. But the music is what captured me. It felt more like directing the action in a movie than playing a game.The music on this CD is exactly what you hear in the game. And it stands very well on its own. The price is a bit high, but as I understand it this is a somewhat rare item. I kind of balked a bit at the price, but after considering it for a while figured I would not find this music any where else. I'm not big on pirating music so I wasn't going to try and get it for "free". I would have preferred to pay a bit less, but I'm glad I bought it anyway. Great soundtrack from an awesome game!

Excellent music, hard to find, but so evocative. This album contains the best tracks from the game.

Really enjoy the OST. Listen to it all the time when driving.

Love this CD if you love MGS1 this is definitely for you. Get it while Amazon still has it.

The Playstation 1 version. And I absolutely love the game. So the soundtrack just seemed like the next step. It is actually a really great soundtrack, great for listening while you drive.

My husband's favorite video game is metal gear solid so I had to get him this for Christmas. The case arrived cracked so I'm not sure if that happened during shipping or what, but the CD was unharmed so we ended up keeping it. He's thrilled to have the music in CD form.

Sounds just like I remember. Still gives the good feelings from playing back on PSX.
