Convenience Concepts Designs2Go XL Two Tier Swivel Riser, Cherry

I needed a riser lift for my TV that is located on the wall beyond the foot of my bed. Sometimes my feet or a pillow or blanket or some object would be in the way of my viewing so this definitely more than served it's purpose in lifting my TV to a more suitable level. My television is 55 in which is larger/heavier than what this riser calls for so I constructed a wooden brace in the middle of it for additional support. Other than that I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I purchased the Convenience Concepts TV stand and wanted to add some height not only for my TV but to place some items under the TV. What I didn't take into account were the legs of my TV (has one at each end instead of a middle stand) so the product didn't work for me so I've used it for a different purpose.As far as the swivel, it can in fact be removed. Grab the plastic top on two sides, pull and it will come off without breaking (just be careful). Below is another plastic piece, remove it and unscrew the screws on the bottom plate. I removed the two side bearings as well, then flipped to use the clean side. I didn't have any issue with stability after removing the swivel and bearings.

I used the product in order to raise the height of my 48 inch flat screen that sits on another TV stand.The product works great.....no problem putting the stand together in minutes.

This large two tier swivel riser works for my application which is to hold my flat screen TV above my center speaker on my AV rack as shown in the accompanying photo.Although the questions and answers say variously that the distance from the top of the bottom shelf to the bottom of the top shelf is from 7 inches to 9 inches depending on the source of information, I measured this distance on the one I received to be 6 and 7/8 inches. I measured my center speaker's maximum height, which is at the center of the speaker, to be 7 inches. As you can see in the photo accompanying this review, I was able to wedge the speaker in between the shelves because the particle board shelves bend a little.This two tier swivel riser supports my 46-inch diagonal flat screen TV on its stand, which according to the TV's specifications weighs 42.1 lbs. with the stand. With this TV, its stand, and the center speaker installed on it, this two tier swivel riser swivels smoothly without dragging, catching, or making any scraping noise.The two tier swivel riser arrived on time without damage and with all of its parts. The assembly instructions are clear, and it is easy to assemble.I am deducting one star from my rating because the listing on Amazon does not contain any description of the materials that this item is made of, so one cannot know whether the shelves are covered particle board, mdf, or real wood, nor whether the supporting rods are metal or coated plastic before purchasing the item.Looking at the sides of the holes in the shelves, it seems to me that the shelves are covered particle board. The supporting rods look and feel like coated plastic. At this price point, those materials are to be expected, but the vendor should specify them in the description of the product in the listing for the product.The vendor should also list the inner distance between the shelves so that the consumer does not have to rely on the wildly varying and inaccurate answers of other consumers in the questions and answers section.

Very easy to assemble, good quality. I really love the look of it and the swivel feature it pretty cool! Would definitely recommend. I measured my space ahead of ordering to ensure it would fit ...it is spot on

I was skeptical about this piece before purchasing it. It arrived in a timely manor, the contents were adequately protected. Other reviews were correct about the plastic cap screws being somewhat delicate [do not over tighten these] during assembly. Another review suggested removing the turntable mounted underneath the lower[bottom] shelf. It depends on if you are looking to use the capability to swivel the display. If you are going to mount a 50 inch or larger display you should consider removal of the swivel hardware. The wood shelves are adaquate to handle the weight of my 60 inch smart tv. That being said they tend to bow slightly under the weight of a tv that large [heavy]. As you can see from the photo this tv is really too large for this platform. BUT as you can also see from the photo my Marantz center channel speaker fits snugly between the shelves and supports the center portion of the platform very nicely. I needed every inch of the space between the shelves. The speaker height is 7.5 inches and the space between the shelves is 7.5 inches. I researched this before the purchaseFinding a rider that would afford me the space to install a center channel speaker was difficult, but this piece was perfect for my needs. I needed the space to mount the center channel speaker in the center with the voice coils at the same height as the Left and Rlght speakers. The Intel NUC R5i5RYH HTPC sits nicely on the top shelf in front of the tv. There is also a nice space to the right of the platform for a USB 3.0 [4TB] hdd for the over 400 video movie files.The black shelves with the aluminum supports match the tv supports to a "T". I would not mount a smart tv over 42-47 inch screen though, simply due to the weight. I was able to get away with it by sandwiching my center speaker between the shelves

Great item with a swivel feature.

The packaging could be better - my box arrived with a few dents in it but luckily there was no real damage to the contents.The product itself is nice enough; it looks fine and is indeed very easy to assemble, just a few minutes and no tools needed. The overall quality is not perfect, but quite good considering the price (and the fact that choices seem quite limited - this is pretty much the only item I could find that fit my requirements).

I like the design and quality of the product itself. However, my package arrived in pretty bad shape, and two corners of the board came damaged, probably due to rough storage or transportation. I will have to touch up with some black paint to make those less visible, but you can tell a chunk of the wood fell off on each of the corners.

Product came too damaged to use so had to return.

Love it. Perfect for where I needed to put it.
