48 inch Angled Lat Bar

This is one bad ace bar! I bought a few of these LPG muscle brand bars for my home gym, and they are worth every penny. I chose the 48" bar due to space restrictions in my small space. I do not regret, this gives me an amazing pump, and as a secondary benefit works your forearms as well.PROS:Performance-unless you are addicted to knurling, these are simply amazing,Forearm pump in every work outLooks-they look bad freakin' ace!Great looking finishSize-huge, almost intimidatingWeight-got some beef to themCONS:Price- very costly for what it actually isFinish-only the attachment loops have shown wear, due to friction, which is the nature of the area

I love this thing........ actually, just recently purchased several of the "Hog Leg" cable attachments from these guys and way-happy with all of it. I assumed the fat-bar-better-for-forearms line hype was marketing BS until after the first workout (which did not include an isolated forearm component), everyone noted the "WOKE-FOREARM" feeling (in a good way). Built to last a lifetime, for sure. Excellent Buy!

I had a thick handle pulldown bar made by matt wenning that was really great. The large diameter worked the grip really well and when you went back to a regular bar you got a bump in strength. Also, if you have any elbow issues switching grip diameter is a good strategy to minimize irritation. The Hog leg however is not thick enough to offer any of those benefits IMO unless you have really small hands. I should have measured before I bought the bar. It looks thicker in the photos. The "live action" swivel does not add anything to the pulldown experience and it pretty wimpy looking...the pin is thinner than a pencil and is held in place by a twisted paperclip thickness metal that I could uncoil easily with my fingers.Im sure it can static hold 500lbs and even a lineman yanking on a 300lb weight stack will probably be ok but why not just inspire total confidence by making it a little more substantial? The whole product line is based on overbuilt and it is just adequate. Welds are very tall, does not bother me but looks like a high school metal shop project. Also, unlike other bars in this price range, it has some gray plastic end caps that look cheap. I ditched the live action swivel and drilled a hole in the bar and let my kid take it to school. Ordering another bar from Wenning.

Great sturdy bar. Seems to be solidly made with quality welding. It was a bit thicker than I expected.

No piece of equipment will ever replace justplain hard and consistent work in the gym. No powder, no pill, no drug andsurely no piece of equipment like this. It's madesolid and seems it should last forever. I got caught up in the hype and forgot that nothingreplaces hard work. This fat bar might be a motivator for some but for the pricemy motivation died pretty quickly and I returned the item. The bars circumference might be abit too large for most people's hands. It was abit to large for mine and I have bigger than average hands.
