I sell cupcakes etc as well as bring baked goods to all family and friends' functions. I have found this carrier to be superior to any other. It holds the cupcakes securely in 2 layers with foldable legs protruding from the base of the top layer to space it correctly from the bottom. The top layer also doesn't have to be used if you are only bringing a dozen cupcakes or a cake or pie. PLUS, the whole thing collapses - the "red" part is flexible and bends so that after the legs are folded and the top is compressed it takes up less room - Voila! better storage! Versatile enough that it holds any baked goods I have made securely with locks on the sides of the carrier. Never had a mishap! Can't get over the value price either.Many people have asked me where I got this wonderfully imagined carrier. Buy this one and you wont be sorry!

I bought this because I'm taking a cake/cupcake decorating class at Michael's and needed something to transport the items back and forth to home. This is an excellent product--I'm in love! (Other people in my class have it, too.) It's huge so you can really fit a large cake in it. Plus, the fact that it transports so many cupcakes is amazing! It takes a big push to get it to expand (I push from the inside rather than pull so I don't damage the handle), but that's good because I wouldn't want it to be too loose anyway. I haven't had an issue yet where the handle has broken (which some people have complained of on here). But it seems pretty sturdy to me. I like the three locking clips, too. A couple of tips: first, the cake would definitely slide around (as would any in any transporter). I put a square of black meshy stuff (like you line your cabinets with) on the bottom and no problem at all--everything stays where it should! The cupcake holders stay in place when the lid is on because they're designed to fit the size of the carrier, so I haven't worried about them at all. I love this product and would definitely buy it again. Just to note: it is large on the bottom (way easier to store than the others since it collapses, but it's bigger than them circumference-wise).

I am really happy with this purchase. It is easily expandable and collapsible. Fully expanded, it holds 24 cupcakes or a 2 layer round cake. Collapsed; it can hold a dozen cupcakes, a single layer cake, or a pie. When fully expanded, I still managed to fit it in my small refrigerator. Definitely a bonus! The two cupcake trays are easy to attach to each other. The handle makes it easy to carry and transport. It's super handy dandy. I made red velvet cupcakes two days ago. I just removed one from the carrier (in my fridge) and ate it. It tastes just as fresh as the day I made it. So, I am happy to say this carrier is also great for storing cupcakes! I highly recommend this product!

This is a great cupcake carrier! And the fact that it doubles as cake carrier makes it even better. A few very smart product features make this a better buy than the others for the same price. There are indentations in the cupcake trays for your fingers to make sure you don't mess up all of your beautifully decorated cupcakes as you put them in and take them out. The cupcake indentations are far enough apart to make it easy to get the cupcakes out without disturbing the others. I actually decorated the cupcakes right in the tray. The cake tray has lines on it to help you cut even serving sizes, which is awesome. The lines are very easy to see up close and it makes for a pretty pattern on the tray. The collapsible top makes it very easy to store and the locking mechanism seems like it will last. It's very sturdy plastic, but still nice and light. Feel like I got way more than my money's worth.

I wasn't into cupcakes until a little challenge came up at work about 18 months ago and since then I've been experimenting ever since with about 400+ cupcakes baked under my belt. I realized I needed a carrier for transporting cupcakes to work and parties since the hobby seemed to be sticking to me for more than a minute. I preferred the collapsable design but the mixed reviews of this carrier prevented me from purchasing it until about 6 months ago. I have to say I'm very happy I did. I have not had any signifigant issues with this carrier. The cavet is though, I've never tried carrying it by the handle and double, triple check the locks. I would recommend not carrying this by the handle. I have used this close to 20 times to transport cupcakes to work and parties. Cupcakes are very easy to manage in this carrier - I have not had any lost "frosting" or decorations ruined and I'm known to load the frosting and decorations on the cupcakes! I even used the carrier (minus the cupcake trays) to transport a petite wedding cake (high top cake for bride and groom). I used this for my cake decorating classes all summer too. Every time it worked as designed. There are two issues I have with this carrier I would share with someone contemplating purchasing this. First, as noted by others, the cupcake trays do not lock into the bottom of the carrier. It's snug once the carrier is locked but I did have an almost wreck when the cupcake tray moved a little on me when I was filling the bottom tray. The second issue would be the "collapsable" feature and this is more of a worry / concern. I've been watching it very carefully and the carrier does not show any wear; however, I'm nervous this material will eventually give preventing its use and/or comprimise the structural integrity of the carrier. I try not over "collapse" / store without collapsing it if I'm going to use it within a week - which goes against the main reason I purchased this one. Again, this is just a fear at this point. I would love to have seen this with a mini-cupcake tray option too. They have been pretty hard to transport without lossing a few each time. Overall I would recommend purchasing this carrier if you're a frequent cupcake / round cake baker with the disclaimer don't carry it by the handle and double check the locks whenever you start to transport something in this carrier.

I bought mine in 2013 and it has not broken, I bake occasionally but the fact that it is multi purpose and allows you to carry 2 dozen cupcakes easily is so, so appealing.

This is a great carrier because it collapses to fit in the cabinet and holds up to 24 cupcakes. But I have 3 complaints.... 1) the cupcake trays hook together but don't attach to the base, so they can slide right off if you open it and aren't careful. 2) the clips for the outside of the carrier are quite flimsy, and if you aren't careful, they will break or come undone... very unfortunate if you're not supporting the base with your free hand. 3) if you even bump into it while carrying cupcakes, the cupcakes end up all over each other. The cupcake holders only need to be about 1/4 inch deeper to avoid this problem... very frustrating when you've worked hard to decorate them! Although these are big complaints, I still enjoy having this over other brands, because the quality is slightly higher than some comparable ones, and it stores so easily that I can't help but love it!

I read some of the lower reviews before purchasing this carrier, and thus I was a bit worried about having trouble popping the top up and down. But fortunately I had no problem at all as long as I handled the top while not attached to the bottom. I like this model compared to other cupcake carriers I've seen because the holes that hold the cupcakes in place are not too deep. Most other holders have deeper holes that make it difficult to remove the cupcakes without damaging the frosting job. This one is just right so that the cakes are held safely in place, but you can still get your fingers beneath the frosting to pick them up intact. I read one criticism that the carrier isn't sturdy enough to carry by the handle only. To be honest, I wouldn't trust any carrier full of 24 cupcakes enough to hold them only by the handle. That being said, I have held mine by the handle for brief periods with a problem. However, to be safe, you should always put your other hand underneath the base. The only thing I wish they would change is that the top tier of the cupcake insert does not attach to the base. This means you have to be careful when removing the lid because the inserts can easily shift. Just a few notches or something similar in the base would easily solve this issue, I believe, so I hope they'll make an updated version. In summary, this is the best cupcake carrier I've found for this price and I highly recommend it!

Rating this a 3 as the trays spin too easily and this is a bit of an issue for me.

This is a great cake carrier. It holds one large cake or approx 24 cupcakes/muffins. Easily transported so you can then also leave it one display in the carrier. Does the job and is really well made. I have used it a lot already

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping for a cupcake carrier that I could also use to transport cakes. The bottom section even has indented lines to help you cute cake slices accurately! The dome itself is durable, and the silicone part bends easily. The fact that it's collapsible makes it easy to store.
