worked nearly "out of the box" !
All I needed to do was take it out of the box, and after a couple of hours of it sitting in the ambient lighting of a room (with no lights on there), it worked ! It was a gift to a relative, and she is very happy with it. It will come to good use when she doesn't have power. A good product at a pretty good price.

Excellent lantern and flashlight combination.
This is the second of this lantern that I bought I was so happy with the first one, I reordered it.I liked it it has USB ports for charging the lantern and micro USB port for charging another item like your cell phone. By extending the lantern out and in it turns it on and off very easily very bright diffused light easy on the eyes. On the end is an extremely bright flashlight.

Very handy
This solar powered light is very handy. You can use it as a flashlight or lantern. Good distance with the flashlight end.I will purchase more. I am not sure on the battery light although I have tested it by leaving on the lantern for a couple of hours and it held good.

Nice little light
We use solar lights when Glamping. But sometimes it is cloudy, and we like having a plan b. This lantern is perfect. It's also great as an emergency light as it is cute on the mantle. Easy to use. As we just bought it we don't know yet about durability but so far we like it.

GREAT CONCEPT -- EXCEPTIONAL SELLER
My product failed after 3 months ... but until then it was really a great idea ... and we used it with purpose. So I don't want to discourage your thoughts on buying one. The seller was so GREAT about resolving the issue .... that's reason enough to evaluate it's purpose for you and consider the purchase. Today ... to me .. the service is more important than the products I buy.

It's lightweight therefore it's not extremely rugged.
The device itself is super light I really love it it comes with a charging cable and really lasts a long time even the solar panel gave it a decent amount of charge for just one day in the Sun. I'm buying several more
