Had a strong fish odor in my refrigerator and freezer. Cleaned thoroughly and put baking soda in both. Fish smell persisted. Bought these charcoal odor absorbers and put them in the refrigerator and freezer. In 24 - 48 hours the smell was gone!!!! Very happy with the results.

I used them in an unventilated clothes closet which is a walking and tucked back in a corner. I put one in my husband’s shoe bin and hung one on the side of laundry basket. Not only were they effective, they eliminated odors almost immediately!Beverly M

I live in a very small unit with one small dog (that is fastidiously clean. But with the onset of cold wintertime (and closed windows) our living quarters started to smell punky, no matter how carefully I cleaned and laundered.I bought the Nature Fresh bags as an experiment. It doesn't rely on any artificial fragrances to mask odors and the bags/sachets can be refreshed without any significant effort or expense on my part. As soon as my order arrived, I placed two of them in the small main living area and the other two in the closet.Within hours, I noticed that the closed, fustiness odors of our living area seemed to have been reduced. By the next day, I could no longer detect that troubling punky odor. That's one quick result -- at a modest cost.The only reason this isn't a full 5-star rating is that I live in the Pacific NW, where rain is the winter norm and two hours of direct sunlight is infrequent. So, "re-charging" / "refreshing" the bags by placing them in direct sunlight for the recommended 1-2 hours isn't that easy. This is a minor challenge and I'll just take advantage of sunlit days as best I can.Otherwise, I am very pleased with results and am very impressed how nicely made the fabric charcoal bags/sachets are. The charcoal is fully enclosed and there is no risk of charcoal dust or particles seeping out. The manufacturers added two nice touches to their product: a good-quality grommet is placed in one corner so the bags can be hung on a hanger or hook, AND 4 hanging hooks are included -- no need to shop or rummage around for "hangee thingees" .How nice to be able to reduce persistent unpleasant odors in an environmentally safe way!

I bought a 6 pack of these for my normal NYC size closet to hopefully remove the musky smell from the closet. I did not have this issue (musky smell) in my previous apartment so I know it wasn't my clothes. Anyway, I put all 6 of these bags hanging inside my closet and after a week I do not notice any difference in smell. The closest is always closed too. Good size, love that they can hang.

I use these in my rescue cat room and in my kitchen. These work very well in the odor removal and keep my home smelling very fresh without sprays n plugins n such. Pet friendly too. Yes my rescue cats have one for a kicker toy and these things are cat proof. Great product, cat tested and cat approved as well.

I left a vegetable in the veggie drawer when we went on an extended vacation. We always dump our ice cubes (side-by-side, built in fridge), and I was surprised that they tasted 'funny' the next day. Then I noticed a chemical/medicinal/weird smell every time I opened the fridge door. The power had gone out for 4 days in-between. Well we cleaned it all out--I mean EVERYTHING, including cleaning labels of bottles, etc. And by "we", I pretty much mean my husband did it all. The smell/taste stubbornly remained. We put a bowl of baking soda in the fridge--no luck.Then I got these and *bam* - smell was gone. Fridge saved!! These can be "recharged" by putting in sunshine for 1/2 hour too, so they will last forever, and they fit nicely wherever I put them. Worth every penny for sure, so easy to use (although I doubt they'd have worked without cleaning.) I have some in another place and they work there too so good quality, have recharged previously and they do continue to perform. Even come with hangers when needed. Highly recommend~!

Completely eliminated the odor in the closets around our home. Not that they smelled bad, it's just an older home with a musty smell that I couldn't seem to fully get rid of until I tried this. Now when I open closet doors, there's no smell at all and I'd rather have that than a musty smell. I don't know what other people are talking about that say the bags smell bad because charcoal literally does not have a scent so they should probably just return the product and not give it a bad review because it's doing its job exactly as you would want. I have since sprayed linen sprays within the closets and on the clothes and that leaves a pleasant scent that lingers so now my closets and clothes have a very light, good smelling scent.

These work amazingly!We were renting an old house where one closet smelled so musty, mildewy. I put 3 of these in there and after a while the odor was gone.You recharge them in the sun if you notice they aren’t working anymore.

I was somewhat skeptical these bags would do much to combat the odors I'm dealing with. But to my surprise they actually do make a difference!I imagine like many others I was looking for something to keep the smell down from animals, cat litter in my case.Luckily I have a decent sized storage room in my bathroom where I have 2 litter boxes. I placed 2 bags on this room and 2 in my shoe closet (more on that latter) now nothing is going to cover up a fresh cat bomb, but overall I noticed less odors from this room. I want to say I helped more with the urine smell.Now the other 2 in my shoe closet, I was REALLY impressed with! This is right at my front entrance and unfortunately before I finished installing moulding for my new floors, a cat peed in the closet and it got under the flooring.Every day when I got home I was greeted with a punch in the face of urine smell. Since putting these 2 bags in the closet I can honestly say it's nearly gone . 95% if not more! Very satisfying results.I live in the PNW and don't expect to see any sun for the next few months , so we will see how long they can help before needing a charge.Definitely going to purchase smaller ones for in my vehicle.

I was reluctant to try these but am glad i made the purchase. We put one in the fridge and it removed the smell of pungent fruits (e.g. rockmellon).We also put one in the car and laundry and its been great.
