My Lovebirds live on this thing. They go between the rungs and 3 or 4 of them will sleep on it. Wood is nice as it gives them something to chew if they’re in the mood.

The ladder is as-pictured...so, I am pleased that (unlike some other vendors) they sent me a natural wood ladder with no coloring.My only gripe...and, its a big one...is that the rungs are incredibly thin. Every parrot owner knows that the main reason for replacing ladders is because the birds chew through the rungs. On average, I get about 4 months per ladder before the rungs are chewed through. Due to the very thin nature of this ladder's rungs, I will be replacing it in a matter of weeks.

These are sturdy and well made. My bird loves them.

This ladder didn't work for us for different reasons. First of all, the rungs are very thin - I got this for my two parakeets, but with rungs this size, they wouldn't use it. Secondly, the bird cage has a plastic "skirt" (guard) to prevent seeds and feathers from being spread around. This ladder does reach the cage wall above the plastic "skirt" but it sits very awkwardly on the cage wire, very unstable (and extremely steep), as the wire is so thin and the metal hooks are meant to be placed over 1/2 inch diameter bars. It is inexpensive and I really tried to see if I could make use of it in any way. Didn't work, so I am returning it.
