My 9 year old son is using the medium/small size full 90 (it only comes in two sizes I think (medium/small & Large). From seeing how it fits him, I would guess that any child between 5 and 13 year old would use the medium/small and anyone older should go for the large. It is very adjustable so it fits a wide range of head sizes.

Yes it is adjustable. Two velcro straps in the back, one on each side allow you to comfort fit the head gear.

Could we use this on children that play competitive, travel soccer, but HAVE NOT had a concussion? Would it help at all to prevent one from happening

Is the x in the back big? It it like the one in the big picture or little picture?

The back of the Premier model doesn't really look like an X at all; I think it's the backside of the Select model that looks like an X.
