Discription says 8 in stuffed animal but some reviews complain on small size; perhaps theyre getting the rattle by mistake? Or are they the same?

The rattle is much smaller. The size is correct as listed

Yes, it is filled with beads but only in the lower bottom portion of it; the rrest is plush. I wouldn't be concerned with the beads spilling out since it's well made. BUT if it's for a teething baby I would be more vigilant in checking for tears periodically.

I don't know for sure, but I bought for my Grandson who is 14th month.

I think it is just right; firm enough to sit up, but soft and cuddly. My baby girl loves it!
