Cholecalciferol is the active ingredient in Terad3, and it's not an anticoagulant, so you would think it wouldn't be covered under the statute. I don't live in California, so my guess is that they've banned sales in the Golden State until the review process is complete. My suggestion is to contact a licensed pest control operator in your neighborhood for the best information. **Q: Do you need a bait trap with this or can I just stick it in the wall?** A: It depends on your local regulations. The rats or mice won't go after it only if it's in a trap, but there might be regulations requiring it to be put into a pet- and child-resistant bait station. **Q: Have purchased, but the blocks are too big for my current bait station. can/will someone recommend bait station suitable for the size of this product?** A: You can put it inside an empty soup can out of reach of house pets and children. **Q: I know this is dangerous to dogs, but it is something that they would try to dig up to access? such as in a shallow rat path underrground?** A: Bait stations are more precise. Three days later I checked and all three bait stations were completely consumed - 8 blocks in each for a total of 24 blocks I'm reloading because the colony is clearly feeding and also dying. If you bury it the rats will likely not find it and would not draw their entire colony to feed. Why risk your dogs digging it up.
