Heavy duty, well designed, looks good, and most importantly makes fantastic coffee. It's like inkjet printers though - it's quite obvious that the machine is worth more than the price that you pay, but maker's profit is on the capsules. It works out at around GBP0.80 (c. $1) per cup of coffee, but it's not stopping us drinking lots of cups! (We've got a great recipe: in Spain you can get a coffee called a 'carajillo' (just ask for one after a meal): it's espresso made with 50% brandy. Our recipe: heat 40 ml cheap brandy in a microwave for 15 secs or so. Then add an espresso straight from the machine.
