The brake is plastic and the wheel is a different color. However this error in the image does not take away from what they do and that is move your stand around. These castors are designed for smaller light stands and probably for the ones cowboy studios sells (fair enough). One thing I really like about these wheels is the fact they do not mark up my green or white cyc floor. The screw does stick out a little but you can avoid hitting it if you know what you are doing. In the long run the price and quality are a very good deal. ### ⭐⭐ decent for the price - bad casters *by T***L on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2012* The stand is sturdy and well built. The major problem I have is that the casters are set at a weird angle. They are not straight when the stand base is set to the correct full open position. You either have to deal with crooked wheels or not extend the legs to the full open position. I would not recommend this unit as it doesn't work as pictured in the ad. Also the screws that tighten the casters to the legs are way to long and stick out quite a bit catching cords and such when you move it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ok quality *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2014* The locking screw in one of the 3 caster wasn't threaded correctly and I could lock it down all the way. Will need to rethread it myself, should be an easy fix.
