TOOWELL Motion Sensor Ceiling Light, Battery Operated Closet Lights 400LM

I love these lights - BUT - I highly recommend you only put them in closed areas (closets, storage rooms). I first got this light to put over my sink under a kitchen cabinet. It worked awesome, but the motion detection was TOO good. It would turn on all the time and it was very bright! My cats would turn it on in the middle of the night and the light would come all the way in my room and wake me up. So I decided to move it into my pantry where I have no light or outlets. It worked fantastic in there! I then bought two more. One for my bedroom closet and one for my hallways laundry. I can’t tell you how awesome they are. Super bright (white) light. Motion sensor is awesome! And they truly light up the space! Highly recommend - just keep batteries around because it will be hard to live without the light after you’ve had it for so long!

Nice light for my mom’s closet. But did not receive the 4 screws or the 4 anchors or the fixing plug.

I ordered this light for my kitchen pantry after having a handyman price what he would charge to wire and install a light and switch. I waited a month to post the review since this is a space I frequent many (many) times during the day and wondered how long the batteries would hold out. I could not be more pleased. One month later and still going strong. The second photo was an attempt to show how well lit the pantry is now (and alas, the picture doesn't do it justice). I installed it myself and am please that once installed, the lower housing twists off (base stays attached to ceiling) making future battery changes simple. I highly recommend and plan to get a couple for my daughter's house (built in the 60's so lights are lacking in some spaces that need it). Great price and just as described. UPDATE: I wanted to provide an update on how long the batteries last in this light. Happy to report I just had to change them a week ago as the light was getting a little dim. Because this is my primary storage for my kitchen I open the door (and the light comes on) many MANY times each day. I'm super excited that the batteries last so long. Yes, I bought a good battery, but the timer on the light must help with that. Would give this one 5+ stars if that were an option!

An update to my review. Based on my complaint that it stopped working properly, the vendor sent me a replacement for free. This is really great customer service so I increased my rating to 3 stars. The replacement is now installed and if it lasts longer than the first one, I will raise my rating again. A nice product. Some confusion over whether it was 400 or 300 lumens as the product description and box said 400 but the instructions said 300. Whatever it is, it is adequately bright so seemed to accomplish what I wanted. However, after a few weeks (and after the return deadline), it began malfunctioning. Detecting motion, it would turn on (detection range is quite good) and after a few seconds start flashing on and off. About at the same speed as a flashing yellow light at a street intersection. The instructions had no mention of this problem. Though the batteries were new when I installed it, I decided to put in fresh batteries. Still the problem continues. So there must be a problem with the motion circuitry that shuts the light off and then back on in rapid succession. If you activate the light and no further motion, it will go on, stay on and then go off after the normal time period. But if there is constant motion under the light (like when you take a shower), it starts flashing on and off. Obviously, some problem somewhere in the circuitry. So I would not recommend purchasing this product even though it has great light and a good motion detection range. Apparently not built to last more than a few weeks.

This light has been a godsend for my pantry. Brand new house and no light for the pantry. I didn’t want to mess with electrical wires and what not. I know my way with a drill though, so this was a no brainier. Installation was pretty straightforward and simple. I ordered 2 packs of batteries cause you never know when you’ll need them. The light itself is bright enough for night time use without blinding you. The motion detection is spot on even though the ceiling is high in my pantry. It detects me as soon as I open the door. This is a must have item if your closet, pantry, or hall way has no light.

The parking area light in my house doesn't work and as the house is old, the repairing of fixture needs to replace the wire of a large area and obviously the cost is considerable. I needed something to use in the area that is rather large but has no light. It drove me nuts every time I went to look for something in there especially in dark time because I would have to activate the flashlight. Finally found this, I looked for a battery-operated motion sensor light. I will say that the fact that it takes 4 D batteries is a little bit surprising. I hope it lasts a long time based on this, because those are not cheap, and the light did not come with batteries... The light works very well. The instructions are easy to follow.

Use this in our pantry that oddly didn't come with any lighting. I started off using the little puck lights and...they are not good at all. Looked all over the place and came across this light that everyone seemed pretty happy with so I went for it and well it's good but not great. Brightness is about equivalent to a 7w LED or 35w bulb at best and I can't say it's bad at all. It does light up the pantry enough to see what we need to see, read a book by it...well not so much. 4D size batteries I hope gets me a few months but it's a brand new light and I don't have more than 2 hours on it thus far. Installation literally took 5 minutes.
