We took this traveling and it is so much better than having to tote a full seat along for national travel. For international travel a seat would be miserable and this was the ticket! We pack lite and this folded up nice and small so we could take it out whenever we needed it. If you have to have the most crash resistant harness you can hook up all the add ons or go with a top end car seat, but if you want a safe, reliable and functional tool in your kid travel arsenal- this is it. They’ll be plenty save and you will save yourself so many headaches over lugging around a traditional seat. I also Loved lived that this is a true US approved car seat and can act as a back up car seat if we are ever caught without one! So for all those time something happens or someone else is driving them, this can be the backup you throw in the trunk or keep in another car. It takes up almost no space when folded.
