As other comments say, this brush is definitely not for thick hair. However, I knew that when I purchased the brush so I have no problems with it! I use it mainly for distributing the oil throughout my hair and smoothing out updos and for those two things it works well even with thick hair. The brush is a great quality and it still in great condition bristles and all despite me using it on a daily basis for multiple months. If I had thinner hair then I imagine you would be able to use it for more, but it accomplishes what I need to even with thick hair.

My kitty Monkey LOVES my boar bristle hairbrush & kept trying to use mine, so I got him his own. He has medium/long hair & it keeps it feeling even more soft & fluffy than it already is! It actually does a good job at deshedding him. He really likes to rub his face & cheeks on brushes, so I've always been scared using metal and/or pinhead brushes with him. With this brush I don't have to worry about it & he REALLY loves Grooming time now. I can also just put the brush on the bed & he'll roll around & brush himself, even hold it in his paws, against the bed & brush his head, neck & chest. Gotta love my Monkey kitty

Not for thick hair but I purchased the wrong brush by accident. Really love the comb it came with so I will keep it. Would make a very nice baby brush though.

Very soft just did not brush through hair

Very nice! Goes through my baby fine hair without leaving tangles. It is very relaxing to use. The comb is great too. I use it on my granddaughter’s hair also.

It's okay ..it's hard to get through my hair sometimes and I have thin fine hair. But it does bring the oils down to the end of my hair. So all in all it's a good product.it came In a Nice brush bag which I keep it in . The comb is cute

I have been using this brush for a handful of days and I am very pleased. The comb is great for detangling, the brush is perfect for caring for my thick wavy hair. This is not a detangling brush! Other reviewers have complained that it is too soft to penetrate the hair. The reason for that is that boar bristle brushes are a hair care tool, meaning they help distribute the natural oils that concentrate on the roots to the lengths thereby buying you more time between washes and giving your hair a nice well hydrated shine. Have reasonable expectations and you will not be disappointed by this product!

Really nice brush! The bristles are perfect for de-tangling, and give my hair a softness!
