Cute, quiet and doubles as a water fountain for my cats!
This is my second fountain from this manufacturer; unfortunately when cleaning my first one, I inadvertently popped out some little piece that attached to the water hose and was unable to fix it, so I bought a second one. I use only distilled drinking water in it; my two cats love to drink from it! And because I'm always trying to get them to drink more frequently, this is an easy and attractive way to do it. A secondary use for it (which was really the primary reason I bought my first one) is to add more humidity in my music room where my baby grand is (I live in Colorado and the humidity is 8% as I write this in early August!). It is attractive and very quiet and adds a certain ambience to my music room with its little light! Nice value for the money.

An Honest Opinion
Due to my general fascination with water, I've owned a few of these tabletop fountain over the years. After operating this one for about a week, I can honestly say it's among the best. Now here's the good and the bad: 1. Ease of setup - Average. Not good or bad. Connecting wires and hoses, then filling the fountain with water - much the same as all of the other fountains I've owned. 2. Splashing. After a week of operation, there is no observable splashing. This is honestly the first fountain I've owned that has no significant water loss due to splashing. They've done a good job of porting the pools in a way to reduce or eliminate splashing in my opinion. 3. Lighting. Not super bright, nor too dim. The lights dance off the ceiling in the dark and provide a warm ambience that I enjoy. I believe they did a good job of lighting this fountain as I've seen others that were horribly bright. There isn't any adjustment, but you can always cover a portion of the LED bulbs in water resistant hobby paint to dim the lighting effect to your taste. 3. Pump noise. As I mentioned, I've owned a few of these, and Ive owned many aquariums, so I have a pretty good handle on how these small pumps work, and how to noise-isolate them. Make sure the pump is standing on its rubber feet in the bowl, and place the bowl on a towl to cushion the bowl. Ensure the pump is always completely submerged. Setting the switch for minimum water flow does not significantly slow the pump's internal operating speed. It only restricts the water flow. If you generally prefer quieter pump and water noise, purchase a pump with 40gph or less, and it should make a huge difference. Experiment with the fountain's location. Standing the fountain in a corner will tend to amplify the sound like a megaphone. There are techniques to reduce noise inside these pumps, but honestly, there are many compatible small pumps on Amazon selling for less than $10, and some that are designed to reduce pump noise. You don't need the aggravation, or the inherent hazard of working with electrical motors intended to be submerged in water, so just purchase a new one when the pump becomes too noisy. To me, the included pump is about average, noise-wise. 4. Water Noise. Most of the water sound in this fountain comes from the basin (bowl). Keep the water levels high inside the bowl if you want to quiet the sound. I personally like the sound. Generally speaking, fountains with fewer cascading levels and reduced height are quieter, but you can also add a few small pebbles or even a tiny piece of sponge in each pool to reduce the water noise. In summary, this is a great fountain and I'm so far very pleased!

Looks nice, sounds great, but an odd smell
Unpacking and setup: The initial setup was easy, but my fountain had apparently been sprayed with some kind of perfume. The smell was overpowering. I'm assuming it had been sprayed to try to mask the smell of the resin, but it was not executed well. Way too much, and the smell is just not pleasant to me. After unpacking I had to immediately rinse with warm water and scrub the entire thing with dish soap. It still smells, but seems to be dissipating as the days go by. I read a prior review that stated their fountain appeared to be used, because of discoloration in the plastic tubing. My tubing has discoloration as well, but I'm guessing it is because of the way the tubing was cut, or something that occurred during shipping. The tubing seems to work fine. Use: I've had my fountain in service for 1 week now. It takes about 1 gallon of water to fill the water basin. I used distilled water with a couple tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and it's been working well. After one week I had to add about a cup of water to replace loss to evaporation (I do live in a dry climate). I plan to change the water out monthly. I use a timer to turn the fountain on from 6am-10pm, and it works well. I've placed the fountain in my home office and it does create a nice ambiance. The water gurgling sound is perfect for one room. The LED lights are ok. Lights were not a requirement for me, and I'm indifferent on the lights included with this fountain. Conclusion: This fountain is a reasonable product for the cost. It fits nicely on a desktop, has a nice fountain sound, and looks nice. The perfume smell that was all over my fountain was unpleasant. I'll update if there are any problems with durability.

It is a keeper
Really nice fountain for shelf or tabletops. I did find it nerve racking to set up - might be me - but instructions are basic to say the least & found myself asking questions online for help. Still donโt know how much water was needed to fill bowl, since direction did not say specifically - but filled it. until it was flowing & trickling nicely. Will keep checking it for refill timing. There is also a slight resin smell that I hope diminishes with time. All in all - I do like this fountainโs appearance & it is pleasing to the ears & eyes! It will fit into my plant array nicely. One note - it does not have an on & off switch sovI am looking into purchasing a short extension cord with an on & off switch - so I donโt have to constantly unplug the unit if I donโt want it running 24/7.

Cute fountain
Purchased this fountain to put on a small table in the living room. It is small but so cute. I put it in a flat glass dish and put small white pebbles around it after seeing someone had done that with a copper dish. It looks so good. Then I put little brass frogs and turtles in the rocks. They are so so cute. The noise is very quiet from the fountain so I placed a tiny sleep noisemaker near it and put it on the brook sound. Now it sounds perfect and my fountain scene is complete.

Great Product
I've had this for a couple of months, and it has run twentyfour hours a day with no problems. It seems like a good quality product. I bought it for my cat, who is fascinated with running water. Unfortunately, he won't pay a bit of attention to the fountain. But the product is great. The little LED light with the spinning ball on top is a great touch. The instructions on assembling the parts were clear and it was easy to do.

Could be so much better if not major flaws...
tl;dr motor is louder than stream of the water, design of the fountain is extremely underwhelming Overall I really liked this fountain but I stopped using it after 2 days because it has very loud motor... Couple of things that needs to be improved for that fountain to be at least usable: 1) Switch (turning on/off) needs to be present!!!! rn all you can do is to plug and unplug the device from the socket, it's like an stone age tech... 2) LED color switch. You can only use one predefined color... in the age of extremely cheap changing color LEDs it's just laughable not to have that. 3) Change of the water flow intensity should be acceptable outside of the motor.... rn if you want to change how fast the water is flowing you need to be soaked in water to do so... // also on the side note my unit was not able to use lowest flow setting of the water, it would not work at all. 4) boy ow boy, here comes an elephant in the room... I don't know if it's actually possible somehow to fix that problem in terms of the design, but motor is louder than the water flow... it produces low frequency hum that you would absolutely feel once you turn off the unit (it's like your head would be relived from stress).... and therefore it defeats the purpose of that device - relaxation It would be one star if not the overall looks of the fountain and how easy it was to assemble it.

Love this waterfall.
Great addition to my plants inside. Functions fantastic. No noise, zero spill. Add about a cup of water a day.
